The Trip

Summary:

Four students. One trip. And absolutely no idea how chaotic it’s about to become.

Izuku, Ochaco, Shoto, and Bakugo are sent on a school trip, where they end up spending more time together than they ever expected. Between hotel rooms, awkward conversations, exploring new places, and running into their classmates, the trip quickly turns into an experience none of them will forget.

Meanwhile, Bakugo and Izuku find themselves getting a little closer than either of them expected.

It was supposed to be just a trip.

Of course, nothing is ever that simple when they’re involved.

Notes:

Hey everyone! 👋

Welcome to The Trip!

This is a short Bakudeku fic featuring Izuku, Bakugo, Ochaco, and Shoto going on a school trip and getting into all kinds of shenanigans along the way.

This fic is mainly focused on friendship, comedy, chaotic situations, and some Bakudeku moments sprinkled throughout. Ochaco and Toga are also a romantic pairing in this story. 💕

I hope you enjoy reading it as much as I enjoyed writing it!

Thanks for giving my fic a chance, and happy reading! ❤️

Chapter 1: The Trip

Chapter Text

Izuku Midoriya stared at the piece of paper in his hands.

Then he stared at Ochaco Uraraka.

Then Shoto Todoroki.

Then back at the paper.

“This has to be a mistake.”

Ochaco leaned over the table. “What does?”

Izuku slowly turned the paper around.

At the top, in bold letters, were the words:

CLASS TRIP ASSIGNMENTS

Underneath were three names.

Midoriya Izuku
Uraraka Ochaco
Todoroki Shoto

Ochaco blinked.

“Oh.”

Shoto looked at the paper.

“We’re together.”

Izuku nodded slowly.

“Apparently.”

There was a long silence.

Ochaco smiled.

“Well, this could be fun!”

Izuku looked at her.

Shoto looked at her.

Neither seemed convinced.

“It’s a trip,” Ochaco continued. “We’re supposed to have fun!”

“I know,” Izuku said. “I’m just surprised.”

“Why?”

“Well…” Izuku looked down at the paper again. “We’re usually around everyone else.”

Shoto nodded. “That’s true.”

Ochaco crossed her arms.

“So what? It’s not like we’re going to be alone.”

Izuku hesitated.

“We are literally the only three people assigned to this group.”

Ochaco paused.

“…Okay, fair point.”

Shoto calmly looked toward the window.

“When does the trip start?”

“Tomorrow morning.”

Both Izuku and Ochaco turned toward him.

“TOMORROW?!”

Shoto nodded.

“Yes.”

Izuku immediately started panicking.

“Tomorrow?! I haven’t packed!”

Ochaco jumped out of her chair.

“ME NEITHER!”

Shoto remained completely calm.

“I packed yesterday.”

Izuku stared at him.

“Of course you did.”

The next morning came far too quickly.

Izuku stood outside with his suitcase, backpack, and an expression that suggested he had gotten approximately three hours of sleep.

Ochaco arrived a few minutes later.

“Midoriya!”

Izuku looked up.

“Uraraka!”

She was carrying a suitcase that looked almost twice her size.

Izuku pointed at it.

“What’s in there?”

“Stuff.”

“What kind of stuff?”

“Important stuff.”

Izuku narrowed his eyes.

“Like?”

Ochaco smiled innocently.

“Snacks.”

Izuku laughed.

“That explains the size.”

Shoto arrived shortly afterward, carrying one suitcase.

One.

Izuku stared at it.

“That’s all you’re bringing?”

“Yes.”

“How?”

“I packed efficiently.”

Ochaco looked between Shoto’s tiny suitcase and her enormous one.

“I think I’m doing something wrong.”

Shoto shrugged.

“You brought twelve bags of chips.”

“They’re important!”

Izuku laughed.

“Okay, everyone is here.”

He looked around.

There were no teachers.

No other classmates.

Just the three of them.

Ochaco’s smile slowly faded.

“Wait.”

Izuku looked at her.

“What?”

“Are we really doing this by ourselves?”

Shoto nodded.

“It appears so.”

Izuku swallowed.

“This is going to be interesting.”

Ochaco grinned again.

“Exactly!”

She grabbed her suitcase.

“Let’s go!”

Izuku smiled and followed.

Shoto walked behind them, completely unfazed.

The three of them had absolutely no idea what they were getting themselves into.

But at least they had snacks.

And that was probably enough.

Probably.
