Skinwalker Cassandra AU

Summary:

Stephanie knew she's cooked. Of course she is, she occasionally make bad decisions but right now even this one is considered low and the bar is on the floor.

Imagine getting knotted by her Skinwalker Intersex girlfriend in a Skinwalker season and Stephanie just can't believe they had fuck for three days straight.

How is she alive?

She don't know.

Not much information, but I'll update this AU's lore.

Chapter Text

The first sign that something was deeply, irreversibly wrong should have been the way Cassandra had looked at her that morning.

Stephanie had been sprawled across their shared bed, scrolling through her phone, half-heartedly trying to convince herself she'd get up and be productive today. The blinds were drawn against the Gotham sun (a generous term for the grey smear that passed for daylight), and the apartment was quiet. Batgirl training, patrol, and the general chaos of her life could wait.

Then Cassandra had walked in.

And Stephanie's brain had promptly short-circuited.

Cassandra was already intense. That was just a fundamental truth of the universe, like gravity or the fact that Bruce Wayne had more issues than a subscription service. But this was different. This was Cassandra with her dark hair slightly disheveled, her skin flushed, and her eyes, those impossibly dark eyes, locked onto Stephanie with an intensity that made her breath catch.

"Steph," Cassandra had said, her voice low and rough. "Season."

Stephanie had blinked. "Season? What season? It's October. You're not allergic to pumpkin spice, are you? Because that would be a dealbreaker, Cass, I'm not even joking—"

"Steph," Cassandra repeated, and there was something almost desperate in her tone. "Hellenic season. Mating."

And then she'd crossed the room in that silent, predatory way of hers, and Stephanie had been too busy trying to process the word mating to properly prepare for what came next.

Which, as it turned out, was being pinned to the mattress by a creature that was technically half-goddess, half-eldritch nightmare, and all of it wrapped in the most beautiful woman Stephanie had ever seen.
