In the light of day

Summary:

Children often think they can never die. Nobody would be lying if he said he didn't wish to feel that once more, just for a couple seconds.

Or A story about Pantheon! Martyn's childhood

Notes:

I went a little light on the angst today. You're welcome!
But in all seriousness, I had a lot of fun writing this. I hope you have a lot of fun reading it. As always, Martyn is fun to write

Work Text:

The world was sweet once.

It was Bright and beautiful, with blue skies that stretched like a blanket along all of creation. He was just a child then, tangling himself in the skirts of his mother as they traversed the dangerous terrain of Artemis's Forests. His only concept for the use of wood being the tiny hand-carved deer he would place on his goddess's altar. However, in a decade or less he would find out it's other uses. Feel the pummel of a sword in his hand, the pierce of an arrow through his neck, but not right now not yet.

Because right now Martyn, the child running through oceans of Green With Berry juice staining his palms. Has no concept of the name nobody, or the pretenses of how he gained it.

He wishes it could have stayed that way for just a little longer.
