   Summary

Her mother was strict, but would often sing softly to her while braiding her hair. Her father was a drunk, but would buy her ribbons from the market when they could afford it. Her brother regularly shirked his chores, leaving her to pick up his slack, but would place sweets on her bed to make up for it. Their love couldn't save them in the end. Nothing could have.

Or, the day an unnamed, undescribed (except for gender/fantasy race) Dark Urge slaughters her entire family.
