As the bath filled, he watched, his eyes heavy and his hand reaching in, fingertips just brushing the water like a lover. It was warm, somewhat foolishly comforting. Did he deserve the comfort? Would it be more beneficial if he were not at home, in his familiar surroundings? Could he even really do this without considering any more possible outcomes given how he was feeling?
Or was it just that Jisung knew the bath wasn’t only about being wrapped in the make-believe arms of something that would not soothe his sanity, but the colder truth that he had chosen it deliberately?
