Summary
The narrative follows Bear Bailey, who uses a magical service called One Wish Willow to compel his colleague Nikki to love him. The wish succeeds in a distorted form: Nikki becomes intensely possessive and vacant, stripping her of genuine free will. Distressed by the results, Bear contacts the service’s customer care and invokes the Sacrifice Clause. This provision restores Nikki’s free will but permanently transfers absolute control of Bear’s agency to her. She is fully informed of his original transgression and of her new authority over him.
Once restored, Nikki, shaped by a childhood of subtle psychological control under her father, views Bear as an instrument upon which to reverse the powerlessness she once endured. She begins with incremental commands at their shared workplace and in their private life: errands, public corrections, forced disclosures of his insecurities, and humiliating acts. Sarah notices Bear’s changes and offers quiet concern; Nikki systematically isolates him from Sarah and all other external contacts and introduces him to a whole new world of domination
