3GS pulled up the grainy hotel duvet, hoping that it would bring him some comfort while he waited for Cabby to get home. They wondered what she was doing. Maybe she was helping some newbies find their way, or maybe she was talking with Mephone4, their somewhat brother.
The door opened with a click, their beautiful girlfriend Cabby poking her head out from the other side. "Hey 3GS." She spoke lovingly, closing the door with a click before gliding over the hardwood flooring to her lover.
3GS looked up at Cabby, pleasantly surprised by her arrival. "It's so good to see you!!" He chirped as usual. "You too, gorgeous." She leaned closer to him, grabbing his sides and kissing his shattered screen. His screen flushed a cherry red.
"Gorgeous..?" He breathed, looking deep into her eyes. "Yeah, I dunno. I overheard Paper and OJ using pet names on each over and thought it would be cute if we started using them." She mumbled, setting down a few folders on the bedside table. "Only if you're comfortable with that." She would look back at 3GS noticing their flushed face.
"No, no!! That's great!! I love trying out new things with you!! Maybe not gorgeous though." They chuckled nervously, their fried speaker making their laughs seem fuzzy and distant.
Cabby hummed, pushing herself onto the bed and nuzzling up to 3GS. "Mmh.. Cutie, Pretty, Beautiful." This made 3GS's screen burn up. "Aha!! Are you trying to fluster me!?" He would wrap his arm around Cabby, melting into her side. "Yes, and it's working, your screen may as well be bright red!!" She chuckled, before continuing on. "angel, precious, puppy~.."
"It's so good to see you!!" 3GS chirped again, nuzzling into his girlfriend. "You too, sweetie." Cabby reassured, rubbing her hand up and down 3GS's sides." 3GS calmed down, their screen starting to cool down a smidge. "I love you," they paused before adding "h-honey.." Cabby immediately removed her hand from around 3GS grabbing a pen and pulling out 3GS's folder. "H-hey now wait a minute!! Don't let these names stick!!"
"I'm going to write down every pet name you like so I don't forget!!" She scribbled frantically on the page, determination addiment on her face. 3GS watched her write down different pet names she wanted to try on him, some of them making his screen visibly red. He pulled the gritty hotel duvet over himself as he laid down, holding onto Cabby's wheel. "I'm gonna power down.. getting kinda tired..."
Cabby didn't look up from where she was writing as she asked "Do you need charging?" 3GS looked up at her, he hadn't even thought that he may need charging. "I'll be alright, it's harder for me to power down properly when being charged." "Are you sure?" Cabby prompted, as she stopped writing to properly look at 3GS. "I'm sure." He assured, "I'll do it in the morning." Cabby looked back at her folder, picking up her pen. "As long as you're sure, Baby." She ticked a pet name off her list looking over to see 3GS's reaction. Unfortunately they were barely paying attention, as they prepared to power themself down for the night. "I'm, sure. I love you Cabby ." "No cute nickname for me?" She prodded jokingly. "love you Cabby." They mumbled, holding on tightly to her wheel and nuzzling against her, prodding her for a response. "I love you too, 3GS."
Maybe pet names just weren't their thing.
3GS powered off. Displaying the meeple logo that they both despised.
