Summary
Hyougo Njata has spent almost his entire life learning how to survive without anyone else. Born to a Kenyan mother and Japanese father, he came to be under tragic circumstances. His mother died from complications before she could ever meet him, leaving his father to raise a child he could never separate from the memory of the woman he'd lost. Unable to cope with his grief, Hyougo's father became neglectful and developed a severe drinking problem, eventually abandoning his young son at a motel while drowning in debt. Hyougo was taken to an orphanage, where he spent the remainder of his childhood.Years of abandonment and neglect shaped him into someone who rarely allows others close. He learned not to expect kindness, not to ask for help and, most importantly, not to become attached. To Hyougo, people were temporary. Sooner or later, they always left. Now, at fifteenteen, Hyougo's time in the orphanage has finally come to an end and now he must go into a 'highschool of delinquents'. For the first time in a long time, there is nobody waiting to look after him. No more orphanage. No one responsible for him. And Hyougo has absolutely no idea what he's supposed to do with his freedom or what will come next.
