Work Text:
BITE ME
Elijah came into his room after a long, long day of fighting, trying to calm down Klaus and keep the peace and he was just, exhausted. He took off his clothes and fell onto the bed. He didn't even have the energy to journal. He just laid there staring at the ceiling. He barely closed his eyes before he drifted off.
He found himself laying on a floor of black marble. He sat up and looked around. The room he was in was pitch black and he couldn't see anything save for a man sitting in a black wooden chair holding a flame in his palm that burned red. Elijah's brows furrowed as he recognized the copy from his other nightmare.
"You…"
"Me"
Elijah got up from the floor as fast as he could and ran in a direction, before he could get too far he felt a searing heat on his back and he fell to the ground. It burned like nothing he'd experienced he'd experienced before. He rolled on the ground till a foot was planted firmly on his chest.
"His name is Logi." The copy said leaning down over Elijah
"What do you want from me!?" Elijah shouted
"Screaming, crying, begging maybe?" The stranger pulled his foot off Elijah and grabbed his ankle and dragged him across the floor.
Elijah thrashed yanking his foot as hard as he could and he felt claws stab him in the ankle.
He let out a cry and the stranger smirked. He continued to drag Elijah to a door that wasn't previously there. He dropped Elijah's leg and opened the door.
"Ready?" The stranger asked
"For what?" Elijah couldn't help but to ask
The stranger nodded to inside the door. There was nothing on there but darkness.
"Im not going in there!" Elijah dashed to his feet and then away from the copy.
The copy chased him and Elijah tried to swing on him. The copy caught Elijah's fist and glared at him.
"You want to fight?"
"Bite me" Elijah snapped
"Judging by our previous encounter I figured that would be the last thing you'd want, but, if you insist" The copy dashed behind Elijah and put him in his arms.
Elijah dashed backwards and slammed the copy against a wall behind them.
The stranger grunted, growled and threw Elijah forward. "Fight it is"
Elijah tried to catch his balance and turned towards the stranger.
The stranger took off his suit jacket and rolled up his sleeves. "Come and get me" he said with a dark playfulness.
Elijah growled and dashed at the stranger throwing swing after swing. The stranger dodged, weaved and ducked over them all and finally when Elijah wasn't paying attention he decked across the face.
Elijah hit the floor and he swore something broke. He shook his head and started to get on his feet when he felt a hard kick to his side.
"Don't, don't bother Elijah."
Elijah winced and laid on the ground trying to figure out how the hell he was supposed to fight this damned creature. And then, something occurred to him.
"Your strong, you've made your point, you just going to spend all this time beating me? Or you actually going to talk to me?"
"I'm not much a talker"
"Not much like me then are you? Not as thoughtful, not as clever, your just, violent with no depth, no consideration, your barely a person"
The stranger rose an eyebrow "No, your right, I'm not a person." The stranger grabbed Elijah by the hair and yanked his head up to look at him. "I'm a Monster"
The stranger then decked Elijah again and Elijah passed out.
Elijah woke up groaning. His body was strained and stressed so much he'd curled into a ball. He slowly un curled and winced. How long was he asleep? The sun was coming from the window. Morning, damn.
