Evie snoozed away as she just lay on the nest she made in her and her teammate's new base. Well, they weren't a rescue team yet but Rio seemed adamant on becoming one one day. He was just “something, something, type matchups, blah blah blah." And it was all in one big ear and out the other for Evie due to how long Rio had gone on and on about all of it. She thought it was a good idea though. Even if he had droned on so much it made her fall asleep. He usually kept it short and easier to understand for her.
Just then, a loud pitter patter of Riolu paws on the wood was heard and then there it was. "EVIE, OH MY ARCEUS, GUESS WHAT??” Evie jumped up and her fur bristled before she calmed and slicked her fur back down and shot her best friend a look when he sheepishly smiled at her. After a moment of silence, she decided to ask. Because of course Rio was waiting for her to ask.
“What happened?" She tilted her head as she asked. “We got a request! For our rescue team!" Evie now looked confused. “But we just started it, we didn't even get any from the bulletin board or whatever-" “exactly!" Rio interrupted excitedly. “One of the town's children heard that we started one and wanted to have us help find their .. uh.."
Rio looked at the note in his paws, then back at Evie with a grin. “Their mom's sun stone! Oh. And the kid was one of the Oddish." Evie blinked for a second. “The Oddish with the yellow leaves or the one with the greyish skin?" “The one with the yellow leaves!" Evie nodded now and stood up before walking over and grabbing a yellow bandana.
"Belle always seemed to admire her mom. Don't know why she hangs out with Ploom all day though.” She said as she tied her bandana around her neck, well, with a little help from Rio since his front paws weren't exactly also feet. "Let's go. We need this job anyway.” Rio immediately cheered and grabbed his own bandana, a purple one. They went straight to the creepy forests.
Nothing should go wrong at all. Right?
