Summary
Sky fidgets in his seat as the judge looks over the documents in front of him. Eyewitness accounts, verbal statements taken at the race track, and even a signed affidavit from P’Chai is included with the packet. It's… a lot. And all of it is pretty damning.
Sky jumps when he feels a hand touch his, and he looks at Phayu on his right. All Sky can focus on is the black eye, now a purplish-greenish-brown bruise, that he gave Phayu.
“It’s okay,” Phayu mouths, and Sky tries to smile at him. He knows Phayu forgave him as soon as his fist made contact with the older man — and Rain, pants down and inconsolable at first, forgave Sky almost immediately after Phayu did — but according to the law it doesn’t matter.
Friends don’t have to press charges in order for the court to step in and make sure Sky is dealt with according to his status as an unowned sub.
