"It's an enchanted legally binding agreement to a controlled physical relationship." Regulus clarified in a clipped tone.
"That's just a posh way to say 'sex contract!'"
Or, Regulus Black doesn't have time for a relationship. It's his sixth year and his first time living out from under the oppressive rule of his parents. Which naturally means he's free to take over Hogwarts, of course that requires a lot of hard work and dedication. And he finds that he functions most efficiently when he has a good outlet for any...pent up stress. Lucky for James Potter, his old outlet recently quit.
It could be a perfectly optimal arrangement.As long as there's absolutely no feelings involved.
