Then Gojou spoke, and the smile disappeared from Yuuji's lips because hearing that voice again was infinitely more devastating than merely seeing him. It was warm, bright, and shamelessly playful, carrying the exact cadence that Yuuji's memories had failed to preserve perfectly despite his desperate attempts. Memories could remember words, but they could never recreate the living vibration of someone's voice.
