Minho giggles at the kitten she watches in Youtube Short. She is currently waiting in the hospital's waiting area while Seungmin goes for appointment validation at the counter. When she senses someone is walking closer, she turns off her phone right away and looks forward, eyes unconsciously sparkling at the sight of her husband.
"The nurse said it might take a little longer because they have less doctors on duty today. You wanna get anything while waiting?" Seungmin asks softly, doesn't even bother to take a seat just in case he needs to get something for his wife. Minho has to look up to look at Seungmin's face, and she smiles while nodding eagerly. Her hand finds its way to hold his.
"I want melon ppang" she requests.
"Alright, I'll go get it for you" Seungmin agrees in no time, but before he can leave, Minho holds his hand tighter like she doesn't want him to go.
"Should we go together?" She suggests. Seungmin shakes his head, and decides to give her forehead a kiss. She shivers like she hates it, making him chuckle.
"No, just take a rest here. I'll be quick" he is about to leave again but she still won't let him go. He rolls his eyes jokingly while she finds a way to make him stay longer.
"Are you meeting a nurse in secret?" She squints her eyes this time. Seungmin nods instantly.
"Yeah, Nurse Ha"
"Nurse Ha?" Minho almost can't remember who that is, until she remembers the nurse that helps her in the last appointment. She bursts out laughing right away. "The old nurse?"
"Yeah, I wanna say 'Eomma, give me some money, my wife wants bread'" Seungmin adds the joke just to make her laugh harder, and he cannot help but grins foolishly when he hears his favorite sound. Only when she calms down, he kisses her forehead again and this time she doesn't react to it.
"I'll be right back" Seungmin promises. Minho lets him go and watches as he walks away, almost jogging so he doesn't take too much time. A smile blooms on her face.
"Run, Kim Seungmin. If you don't come back in 3 seconds, I'll divorce you!" She hollers, and giggles when she sees him stop jogging. She just stares at him leaving, totally doesn't notice that someone is watching from the side.
"Your first born?" A lady asks, startling Minho right away. Minho looks to her left, and sees another pregnant lady looking at Seungmin's direction before reciprocating her eye contact.
"No, my second" Minho replies and smiles politely as an answer. The lady doesn't even smile back and just sighs.
"I thought you were newlywed. How come you both are still acting like one while waiting for your second born...?" She mumbles and looks away, staring at her baby bump. Minho blinks, awkward feeling thickens and she doesn't know what to respond since the lady looks upset, so she just tries to look away.
"Good for you. Your husband looks like he really loves you. My husband would never" the lady adds, and Minho looks at her again. Another awkward silence. Minho scratches her nape awkwardly, she wants to say 'thank you' but it seems like unsuitable time to do so. She looks towards the path Seungmin went just now, wondering when will her husband come back so she can escape this awkward moment but then the lady speaks up again. Minho cannot help but look back at her.
"It's my second born too. But the father is never available. Busy with work and stuff. I have to attend all the appointments myself. You guys make a divorce remarks like it was nothing, while I'm actually considering getting a divorce. He even comes home late, being drunk. He never even bought me a bread and just get things for himself" she rants, almost like a mumble.
Now that is absolutely awkward. Minho does feel kind of regret and guilty for making a divorce joke in public. She wouldn't have done that if she knows the lady next to her is thinking about a divorce seriously. Should she apologize? Should she reassure her? But she just made her upset by joking around with Seungmin. Minho opens and closes her mouth, no word is coming out of it.
She feels someone is approaching again so she wastes no time to turn around, and she sees Seungmin happily comes back with a bag full of a few types of bread. Looking like a puppy running back to his owner but because of the unfortunate lady, Minho doesn't even know if she can smile at the sight.
"Babe, they only have one melon ppang left but it smells really good. Can you feed me a bite later when you eat it?" He asks innocently as he takes a seat next to her. Minho gets slightly panic because the request sounds too affectionate and when she steals a glance, as expect, the lady is watching them. She blinks a few times to get rid of the awkwardness.
"O-Oh, sure. Let's eat it later" she tries to sound casual. Seungmin seems to notice her awkward act right at instance, but since he doesn't know the cause of it, worry takes over him right away.
"Are you okay? What's wrong?" He asks softly, checking her from top to bottom to see if the seat is making her uncomfortable or something. Minho hears the lady sigh, it makes her panic even more. Does Seungmin has to be this caring right now?
"Nothing, nothing. Just shut up" she blurts out in panic and passes him a bread to keep him occupied. Seungmin is totally confused, and just decides to obey. Minho can still see they are being watched from the corner of her eyes, and she is losing her mind.
She decides to ignore Seungmin the whole time, just stares at her bread until the lady leaves for her turn to get check up. Only then, Minho tells Seungmin what happened and the husband laughs brightly at her awkward moment. They agree to avoid the lady if they ever see her again.

Bonus :
After the check up, Seungmin asks Minho to take a seat nearby while he goes to get a few more breads for Yongbok after she comes home from school later. When he is standing in front of the self check-out counter, he accidentally eavesdrops on a conversation with a couple right outside of the bakery.
"Let's go together, my darling. I'm too worried if I leave you alone, other guys will fall in love with you because you are beautiful, most perfect, breathtaking being" the guy showers his wife with praises and traces kisses from the back of her hand up to her shoulder. The pregnant lady with a bigger baby bump than Minho just chuckles softly.
"Just go ahead, oppa. I'm tired of walking around" she says, although she seems delighted to hear all the sweet words. Seungmin stops checking out the bread to see the situation, and when he makes eye contact with the husband, the latter seems to feel more eager to make a drama. His wife is indeed really pretty, so he assumes Seungmin will get envious of him for having such a pretty wife.
"But I wanna show you off to the world how I have such a beautiful, gorgeous wife! Ah~ let's go together" he whines cringingly for a late 30s guy. But the lady falls for it, and just chuckles again when he kisses her cheek over and over again.
And the drama stops simultaneously with Seungmin's focus on it ends when the three of them look at the same direction, where Minho appears while tugging her hair behind her right ear. She approaches Seungmin right away.
"I need to go to the toilet" she says, hugging Seungmin's hand. Hearing that, Seungmin wastes no time to use his free hand and scan all the bread's price tag to pay. They don't even notice how the couple is still observing them. Specifically the cringe husband, because now the wife is looking at him, scanning his expression.
"Why don't you just wait at the seat? I'll walk you to the toilet after I buy these" Seungmin asks softly. Minho leans the side of her face to his upper arm, squishing her right cheek because of the pressure.
"The toilet is this way, anyway. Why would you go back and forth?" She mumbles, at that time she accidentally makes eye contact with the husband.
"You care for me?" Seungmin teases with a grin on his face. Minho feels slightly uncomfortable how the guy is looking at her with mouth open, so she quickly looks at her husband instead.
"No. I just need an escort quick before I leave a trace here" she adds a statement to the joke, making Seungmin laugh right away. He takes the receipt, and holds a plastic full of bread with his free hand.
"Okay, let's go-" his words stop, because now both of them realise that the cringe guy is still watching them, watching Minho to be exact. His pregnant wife had enough.
"Oppa, why are you looking at her like that?" She snaps. Her husband widens his eyes in panic as he looks at her.
"N-No, I didn't-" he doesn't get to defend himself when she interrupts.
"Is she prettier than me?"
"Well, kinda...?"
"What?! You praised me two seconds ago and now you are eyeing another woman? Again?!"
Seungmin and Minho flinch when they see the wife hit her husband with her bag over and over. Seungmin quickly holds Minho's hand and they leave the scene as fast as they can, the awkwardness makes them panic again.
What a day to be a couple, really.
