Summary
At eighteen, Regina Mills was certain of two things: she knew exactly what she wanted for her future, and Emma Swan would be by her side to watch it happen.
Until an acceptance letter from the Universitat de Barcelona turns the future Regina had always dreamed of into a goodbye neither of them was prepared to face.
Neighbors since childhood, best friends for as long as they can remember, and perhaps something more that neither of them has ever had the courage to name, Emma and Regina decide that four years apart won’t be enough to change what exists between them.
But some promises are made with the innocence of people who don’t yet know how much life can change.
And seventeen years may be too long to keep a promise.
