Summary
She died at twenty-three, reading fan fiction at two in the morning. She woke up as Nara Shikana — newborn, helpless, and already carrying the full weight of everything that was coming.
Every name. Every death. Every war.
She has a list. She has been building it since before she could hold up her own head, and she intends to work through every item on it with the patience and precision of a Nara clan heir who has had a head start on everyone by approximately one lifetime.
What she didn't account for: how much she was going to love her parents. How fiercely she was going to want to keep them.
What she also didn't account for: Hatake Kakashi, age eight, watching an entire room from one step behind his father with the stillness of someone who had decided paying attention mattered more than being seen to. She filed him under exceptional and inconvenient and did not put him anywhere else.
She should have thought harder about that.
A story about foreknowledge and what it costs. About the difference between a plan and a life. About a woman who came here knowing the ending — and found she could no longer imagine it without herself in it.
She did not plan to want to stay.
