Summary
Two minutes is a surprisingly long time when you are anticipating something.
The seconds drag by like slow dripping water, spilling over at a painful pace.
Ilya looks up to Shane; he’s sitting on the closed toilet, knees bouncing and brow furrowed. He is chewing on his nails like he always does when he’s anxious.
This is the fourth year they have done this, four years of perfect planning, of trying and trying with no success. And every year, it gets harder and more painful to come out the other side.
A fic about their journey to parenthood, Shane’s relationship with his changing body and losing control over the one thing he’s spent years micromanaging; his diet.
