Work Text:

September 10th—2025. An American college campus in Utah Valley University. Located within Orem Utah.

(I KNOW. THAT THE LORE OF AL IS CANONICALLY IN 2030-2050 I THINK. BUT I GOTTA KEEP IT FOR 2025 FOR THE PLOT OKAY)

The place had been extremely packed, 3000 people in attendance to debate this 'right-winged' political activist. That man, with his bigoted and irrational views on politics—was obviously very well hated. It was very clear throughout it all. The place, crowded as ever—bodies all pressing against each other as they came by to watch this debate. A debate hosted by a man who couldn't get his point across without interrupting the other and blatantly cutting them off, he was stubborn. It was clear. Nobody muttered or spoke in annoyance about the piling up, everyone watching the man upfront speak his utterly wrong views. But some people were just too blind to see that they were wrong.

Who was that man exactly? Charlie Kirk, 31 years old, a man with a wife and too kids. It was clear to the average normal person that Charlie Kirk was too brainwashed upon himself to see what's factually right, seriously. What the hell do you mean evolution isn't real and Charles Darwin was merely debunked?.—clearly the views of someone stupid. That was obviously as clear as a bubble for sure.

This man was hated and loved—but subtly more hated compared to the loved.. Especially by a group of patients that had recently escaped an asylum, specifically for the reason of what the four of them were about to do. Take this bigoted viewed man off the list of the currently 8 billion alive people in this earth, to make sure his next resting spot will now be located within a deep grave. Not like anyone will mourn him, sane people atleast. Ironically enough.. These four patients were more of the main impacts of the patient hierarchy in that Asylum. So if they were going to kill this debator, they had to do it quick.

The job was evenly split between all four of them :

Mitch would be the one who would do the job, killing Charlie Kirk.

John would help out with informing Mitch on when Alice told him to shoot.

Nyx would keep lookout to make sure nobody would see them in the act.

And Alice would be the one distracting Charlie Kirk—debating him. Making sure he wouldn't see what was coming, she had studied off all the recent drama and what this guy debated on very quickly. So she knew on what to argue against with.. Even if it would result in losing her temper by a bit.

All four agreed to put their differences aside, especially with the shopkeeper rivalry between John and Alice. They wanted this man dead, literally.

And so on, the plan began—and went just as desired. Starting off with Alice fitting into a disguise quickly. Trying to be first when it came to debating the man, she knew to be first so this would be quick—afterall.. How would the four of them explain to the Stone Haven County staff that they all escaped purely for the reason of killing a right winged bigoted viewed debator? Yeah. They needed to finish the job.

Mitch, John, and Nyx all got into their own positions too. Nyx stood a bit far, but doing as intended to stay on lookout to make sure nobody spotted them.. A boring job at first glance—but it was needed. If their faces were recognized and posted online. SHCA would be on their asses fast.

Mitch stood his ground, holding a sniper in his hands. He was experienced with such weapons, despite only having weapons stolen or crafted by the asylum. Maybe it was a thing he had experience from before being sent to Stone Haven County, just maybe.. He knew he was the one who would make the shot. And he knew he couldn't miss—his face cold and serious, sure to make sure this political speaker dropped to the ground dead. Oh and also the weapon was stolen from a gunstore nearby, they were all sneaky with it though.

John looked down at where Alice was, keeping his attention on her. Making sure to note that once she gave the hand signal to shoot, that John would quickly inform Mitch on to aiming and pulling the trigger.

If anything, Mitch was the most trustable with weapons out of the four. In safety of the target he would shoot? No. But he knew what he was doing, he knew aiming, the vulnerable and weak points within the body. He'd kill this man. Today.

Finally, a short timeskip to later on. Alice was up for debating Charlie Kirk, she managed to gain her spot on being the first one to debate this man. Her thoughts spiraling on how she could react to when he finally died, but then again, she'd have to keep that amused reaction for when they were back at the Asylum. How could they ever figure out the murders of this man were patients from an insanely high security asylum? And plus, it's not like any outsiders were allowed inside the asylum anyway. Basically zero consequence.

The debate soon began, as Alice and Charlie Kirk discussed. The debate getting deeper and even more annoying for Alice to deal with, if this was back in the Asylum.. She'd throw a metal shard at his man and kick her out of the vip sector like she occasionally did with disruptive people. But this wasn't the vip sector in the asylum. It was a public college in Utah with three thousand people surrounding them and watching, she'd be exposed if she pulled such an act.

She kept casual, before finally deciding to ask one more final question before she went on with signaling to John to make the kill.

“ Do you exactly.. Know how much mass shooters have been in America, exactly over the last ten years? ”

She questioned, crossing her arms. Shoulders tensed as her expression narrowed. Waiting for him to respond, expression subtly narrowed as her jaw clenched. Silently giving the hand signal over to John to tell Mitch to shoot, atleast right before the debator had finished with his soon to be last sentence of his life.

John quickly got the signal, rushing over to Mitch as he informed him on when to shoot. In response, Mitch nodded, glancing over to Alice down below—then back over to the debator. Raising the sniper as he got into a more subtly hidden position, aiming the sniper carefully towards a vital area of the target. The neck. His expression cold and stern, and extremely focused.

Charlie Kirk responded, blinking as he questioned on what exactly Alice had meant by such a question overall..

“ So, counting or not counting gang violence?–”

Just right as he had finished speak, a loud bang was heard. And suddenly, a bullet. Flying straight past all the other people witnessing.. And right at the target. Charlie. Kirk. Now dead, eyes widened as police rushed over to the body. It was clear that the man had already been dead—but they picked him up to take his body to the hospital eitherway. What a waste of time.

Alice quickly reacted, just as she rehearsed. Usually, she didn't care for such deaths.. But in a public area—she knew she had to react accordingly. Blending in with the witnesses, she gasped as her hands raised up to cover her mouth. Eyes widened as she screamed out loud.

“ OH MY GOD! ”

She yelled, perfectly matching in with the shock and fear of the crowd. Eyes shaking as she stepped back, forcing out fake tears to act like she had been truly traumatized.. When in reality she had been desensitized from it for a long time, especially from in the asylum. She soon stepped back just enough to blend into the crowd, messing up her own hair and taking off the hoodie she used as a disguise to look like a different person who just coincidentally looked like the debator opposing against Charlie Kirk. Rushing past the crowd and blending in with the groups leaving in shock and fear. Soon she'll meet up with the other three, and they'll drive off back to the asylum, sneak back in, and go along with their lives as if nothing happened.

He did it, he pulled the trigger and shot. Without any time to waste—he gestured for Nyx and John to quickly dash off before anyone saw them. And regroup at the meeting place, resting the sniper on his back as all three of them dashed back into the woods. Well aware of the manhunt  now placed on the four of them, they were in severe risk of being caught.. So as long as if they weren't seen running off to the meeting area, regrouping, and still having the sniper on them—they'd get through this with ease. Hopefully.
