   Sae had a water bottle in his hand. He glanced at the bottle and then at Sae, who passed it to him.

   "Not hard enough," Michael said, unscrewing the top of the bottle to drink.

   "At this rate, you'll sprain something and be benched for the start of the season," Sae said. "Didn't think that would be something you'd want."

   Michael grinned. "Very sweet of you to care, Itoshi. But I'm fine."

   Sae let out a sigh. "I don't care. But it's obvious you're not."
