Ps I have not finished watching Deltarune 5 so sorry if this is out of charater lol.
It was weird.
That all ralsei could think.
after the near encounter with the roaring knight, ralsei had barely been able to save him. As much as he hated him, he'd rather see no one die. After regrowing him, he'd was 'enternally thankful' (his words.) and was willing to help ralsei and co with whatever they wanted. So they took him and the other flowers to card town, he was always up early to help people, everyone took a liking to him, every morning he would bother ralsei, even if he didn't mean to. So when ralsei hadn't seen him anywhere over three hours pass when he would usually wake up, it was weird. Even aqua had asked where he was, so he wasn't the only one wondering. As he was pondering, Kris and Susie had made their way over. "Ah! Kris! Susie! It's good to see you!" He would smile warmly, Susie would nod. "Good to see you too dude." "Now, I have a question, have any of you seen flowery this morning?" Susie and Kris would shake their heads, Kris signing. you haven't seen him? Ralsei would shake his head. "I must say, the slience was certainly nice at first but I'm starting to get a little concerned." Susie would hum. "Let's go check his room in the castle, maybe he's just sleeping in by accident?" Ralsei would nod. "Maybe, but it's best to check up on him." They had began to make there way down town to the castle, getting many waves and smiles from the residents as they made their way down. Climbing into the elevator, Ralsei had clicked the button to floor 4, after a moment they had walked out. Susie would march up to the door, giving it a rough knock. "Hey! Come out of your room you lazy bum!" Susie would wait a moment, the only she heard on the other side of the door was a quiet, somewhat weak groan. Making her raise an eye brow as her and ralsei locked eyes. "We're coming in okay!" Ralsei would carefully open the door.
This was certainly not the sight they were expecting, it was flowery laying in bed, not asleep, but… weak, something was up. But it was easy to pick up on with his quiet coughs, and the mountain of tissues in his garbage. He would sit up. "Hey rals… I don't know whats happening to me… and… I'm a little scared…" he would speak through a raspy voice, shuttering slightly. "Am I… wilting?" He was shaking at this point. "I don't want to wilt…" Kris would sign "No dude. Your fine. Please don't freak out!" Ralsei would stand, confused. While Kris and Susie comforted him. Until, it clicked. He had never been sick before! Of course! He lived life as a flower before coming to the dark world, meaning since this was his first life as a somewhat human being, he had never been sick before! But… ralsei did tell him about cold season, so, shouldn't he know? "Hey flowery." He would tlit his head. "Do you have a head ache, sore throat, plugged up nose, and over all just feel tired?" His eyes would open. "That's… cough cough exactly whats happening! How did you know?" "Well… you know what I told you about cold season." He would nod. "Yeah… I know, winter gets cold." Ralsei sigh. "That's not what I meant! This is a different cold! It means your sick." Flowery would sigh. "Sick…?" Ralsei would nod. "Yes, sick. You need to rest today." "But… what about-" "no buts, this is your first time sick, you need to rest!" He would sigh again, laying back down. Ralsei would feel his forehead. "Geez… your burning up!" Ralsei would turn to Kris and Susie. "Kris, please get him a ice pack, for his fever. Susie, please go get hime another blanket, just in case the fever stops and he needs something to warm up. and I'll go make some soup for his throat." Kris would nod, "you can on us!" Susie would give a thumbs up. "Come on Kris!" The fun gang would run off.
It had been a good hot minute, literally. Until Ralsei and the fun gang came back. Kris would put the ice pack on his forehead, as Susie would put the blanket on his bed and Ralsei would set some chicken noodle soup on his side table. "There you go… now, yell at us if you need anything!" Flowery would nod. "Thank you, truly rally…" he would smile, Ralsei would nod. "Of course!" He would try to force a happy tone, could he stop with that nick name already. He would walk out of the room with Susie, as Kris went to walk off, flowery would speak up. "Kris…?" Kris would turn around, signing yes? "do you… think I really am a bother? To Ralsei?" Kris would sign back quickly. no, I don't thank so. "But, the he acts around me…" your guys personality just don't mix, that's all. flowery would sigh. "I hope that's what it is…" Kris would walk out of the room. Flowery would take a few bites of soup, before laying back down. He would close his eyes, until his body grew heavy, and his breathing evened out, eventually, drifting into a deep sleep.
