Kinger moved to sit beside him on the desk. “I'm sorry, Caine. I didn't know that this kind of thing was so distressing for you. You could have told me before it boiled over like this and I would have stopped.”
What? Caine peeked through his teeth. “You would have stopped doing what?”
“Flirting?” Kinger's brows furrowed. Caine's visible confusion caused Kinger's eyes to widen. “Wait, Caine, did you not-”
Caine's mouth flew open. He grabbed Kinger's collar and yanked him forward. “You were flirting with me?!” He cried. “Why didn't you tell me?!”
“I thought that you were just taking things slow!” Kinger put his hands up. “I didn't mind! I thought that maybe I pushed you a little too far and that's why you've been avoiding me!”
“You-!” Caine shook his robe back and forth. “You were teasing me! You were trying to drive me crazy!” He shouted.
“I was flirting! It's what you do!” Kinger let out a genuine and full laugh.
In the wake of the Sex Update, Caine has learned a lot about human sexuality and attraction; which is to say, he doesn't get it at all. At least, he thought he didn't until Kinger crept into his fantasies.
