Chapter 1: A Journey Begins

Chapter Text

"Ow!" Krigol yelped. He was a blue SkyWing with a spikey, spear-like end on his tail. "You need training if you want to protect your siblings," Mando spoke, and punched him continuously. Mando was the head leader of the group, also known as the peace daggers, which was destined to stop the war between the three armies; the humans, dragons, and ghosts. "I'm out of here. Let me know when you're gonna give me real training instead of beating me up like a jerk!" bellowed Krigol, and he stormed out of the room as he whispered, "He doesn't know anything about training," At least I have my friends, Krigol thought. Krigol had 4 friends. Summer, a yellow SandWing, along with Drake, a human savage who was still really smart. That was followed by Julia, a ghost that could possess things and shapeshift. And lastly Jim, a high-tech human that could time travel and create things out of thin air. "Sup," said Jim. He was testing his new weaponry for his mech suit. "Not much, just another day of being beat up," said Krigol. Still aching from what Mando thought was "training". Krigol did not like training, not one bit. He thought it was a waste of time, and despised it to the three moons and back. I'm fine, I don't need help from Mando, he thought. Krigol walked into his room and lay down on his bed, tired from training. Then, Julia came into the room. "You okay?" she asked. "No, I just want freedom. I'm sick and tired of being stuck here under a rock. I wanna see the light, I wanna see the outside world itself. But instead, I'm stuck here," Krigol sighed,. still lying in his bed. "I know how you feel; I feel the same way... But I have a plan." Krigol jolted up. "You do?!" said Krigol. He was excited to finally get out from under the rock. "So what's the plan? '' asked Krigol. "Well, I'll tell you tonight, okay?" said Julia. "Okay. See you tonight," said Krigol.

That night, Krigol got up and woke up everyone except Mando. Krigol wanted to make sure that no one woke him up. Everyone gathered near the boulder that blocked the entrance. "Alright, here's the plan," whispered Julia; she was trying to sound as quiet as possible. "I'm gonna morph into a key so that we can open the door. However, opening the door makes a really loud sound which might end up waking up Mando and Spud. So I need Drake to go and cover Mandos' ears and Jim to cover Spuds'. Meanwhile, Summer is going to help Krigol open the door when I give them the signal. "Everyone got it?" "Got it!" they all said in unison, while maintaining their soft, quiet voice. "But I have a question, what's the signal?" asked Summer. "The signal is a thumbs up," Julia responded. Summer and Krigol got into position and Julia gave them a thumbs up. However, Drake and Jim didn't reach Mando and spud in time because they woke up in an instant and rushed out of their rooms. They bolted down the hallway, not stopping till they saw the dragons. "Stop, it's not safe out there! There's humans and ghosts, and..." said Spud. But they didn't listen; they had already unlocked the door. They had finished opening the door when they saw a seawing. It looked like Krigol, but it had an eyepatch and golden chain around its neck. "Come with me if you want to live." the dragon said. The dragon seemed to be female. Jim and Drake got on Krigol and flew off with Summer and Julia into the night.
