"Little Einstein" (Lara Jean x Peter Parker)

Summary:

Lara Jean always wrote love letters that were never going to be sent. It was her way to fall in love without getting hurt. Throughout her quiet love life she wrote 5 letters to 5 different boys. Now that it's time to go to college she is packing her things to finally start a new chapter in her life. But as she is stuffing her luggage for her one way trip to New York she stumbles upon a letter she wasn't aware of.

Or Lara Jean finds a 6th letter that leaves lost on whether she really wrote 5 love letters to 5 boys she loved before and there is one more love she just can't remember: a forgotten love.

Notes:

I saw one edit of these two and I can't get them out of my head. I feel like they would be so cute together if they met. I love reading Peter Parker x ----- stories, but this is my first time writing fanfiction Lol. I should be doing my my math homework, but begger can't be choosers. If my Grammer sucks please don't come at me. I'm from America, but english is never really my thing.

P.S. This takes place after "Everyone Forgot Peter Parker" Arc and the Last book in "To All the Boys I Live Before" where Lara Jean is going to New York.

No, Lara Jean's letters were never sent, She never dated Peter Kavinsky (sorry bro :3), her, Gen are friends (kinda) not important though, and there WILL be flashback to explain everything (just not right now)

(See the end of the work for more notes.)

Chapter 1: The Sixth Letter

Chapter Text

Lara Jean has always wrote love letters. It was her way of expressing her feelings without getting hurt. She kept all 5 letters in a teal blue hatbox shoved to the back of her closet. She remembers each boy she addressed the letters to as clear as day. 5 boys 5 loves.

Josh Sanderson, her sister (ex) boyfriend who was both a kind-neighbor and friend of the Covey family. Lucas James, a handsome boy who decided his truth was a little more "colorful" than she expected (she was happy for him though). John McClaren, a childhood friend she lost touch with. Kenny, a boy she fell for at an adventure camp. And lastly, Peter Kavinsky . . . the boy Lara Jean shared her first kiss with . . . who is now also Gen fiance. Which is fine, Lara Jean never meant to send out those letters anyway. That is why she caught Kitty before she had the chance to send them who knows where. Even though Kitty insisted it would start some much needed drama in Lara Jean's loves life.

So as of right now Lara Jean was packing her for New York University in the big apple. Deep cleaning her rather "expressive" room or rather what Kitty calls " a fashion bomb explosion". Which wasn't too far off but Lara Jean would rather wait for pigs to fly than admit it.

"Lara Jean you really need to find a way to cope with this hoarding problem of yours. Like seriously how are you going to fit all these clothes in that tiny dorm you're moving into?" Kitty said, leaning on the doorway of Lara Jeans room.

"It's not hoarding Kitty, It's ... a collection of memories"

"Yeah, and I'm George Washington", pure sarcasm dripping from her voice.

Lara Jean rolled her eyes, " I thought you said you were going to help me? not ridicule me for having ... an abundance of clothing" she said as she passed Kitty her old sweatshirt.

"Just because you use fancy vocab doesn't change the fact you have a hoarding problem~" Kitty teased as she grabbed the sweatshirt Lara Jean tossed her and folded it before placing it into one of the luggage.

"Hmph, whatever you say" Lara Jean replied as she looked through her dresser. She was trying to decide if she should take her sophomore prom dress with her or not (don't judge, it still fits). She signed as she looked up toward Kitty and the single clutter shelf next to her.

"Hey Kitty can you clean that self right behind you?"

"You mean that super dusty shelf with the advanced chemistry textbook that you wouldn't touch with a 10-foot pole?" Kitty hummed

"Yes Kitty, that one" Lara Jean almost chuckled. Kitty wasn't wrong, science wasn't her thing.

Kitty reached for the book, coughing from the dust surrounding the book and her now fingers. "Honestly Lara Jean, I don't why you have-" Kitty paused to read the cover "-this issue of 'Advance Chemistry of Rare Elements'. You didn't even take honor chemistry?!"

"Yeah yeah, well I don't even think it's mine. I'm pretty sure a friend left it here and forgot about it."

"And you didn't think to throw it away?"

"No? What if they came back for it? They would probably be disappointed if they came all the way here and just to learn it was thrown out."

It was weird though, now that Lara Jean thought about it. She didn't remember anyone ever leaving their textbook in her room. She didn't even think this was the textbook they used at her high school. None of here friends were really big on science either. Does she even have any friends that enjoy chemistry? Lara Jean felt this fuzzy memory start resurface from the back of her mind, but whatever it was, it had become pitch black. It was almost like it was never there.

"...Well, I guess that makes sense" Kitty said, retrieving Lara Jean out from her thoughts. "Ohh, and it's a limited addition copy. Let's see what this supposed Brainiac was reading" Kitty opened the cover, flipping to a random page, sneezing at the sudden dust cloud that appears in the air.

"My lungs, ack, I think I just inhaled ancient debris, coff coff" Kitty squints her eye and rubbed the dust off the page.

Lara Jean chuckled, "What did you expect?" Kitty didn't respond though, her eyes focused on the page in front of her, to Lara Jean's surprise. Kitty looked as if she were deciphering a pirate map that would take her to the lost city of Atlantis. After a minute Lara Jean want back to the task at hand: packing.

Halfway through organizing the clothes in her dresser, however, Kitty spoke up."Yup, it is official. I don't understand the signal word or diagram from this book" Lara Jean look back at Kitty "Really, from where I'm standing you seem intensely interested in chemistry"

"It not really the context of this textbook that interests me, rather what was left inside" Kitty smirked.

Lara Jean stared at her sister, both curious and confused at the same time. "What are you talking about Kitty?"

"Ohh nothing, just some old open envelope that was left behind by someone~" Lara Jean heart raced. A letter? But all the letter she wrote were left in the back of her closet, she was sure of it. Even so Kitty (nosy as ever) read through those letters a while ago. Why would she be bringing it up now?

"You mean junk mail?" Lara Jean asked nervously.

Kitty's smirked widen "I don't think so, after all this letter is addressed to the one and only Lara Jean"

"Huh?!"

Kitty walked up to the dresser and turned the enveloped to her sister's face. And there it was. Written in a dark red pen, smudged right on top of the old unfolded envelope,

To: Lara Jean
