Work Text:
Lovino rummaged through the entire living room and kitchen in slight panic.
He knew that fatass rabbit had to be here somewhere.
“Take care of him!” She said.
“It’ll be fun!” She said.
Lovino groaned. He had spent his precious time running around the house for ten minutes now, and still couldn’t find the damn rabbit.
”Feli!”
Lovino called out to his brother, who was presumably in the kitchen and eating breakfast.
“Where’s the rabbit?!”
“Hm?”
Feliciano replied in a muffled hum from his eating. Smelled like toast.
After a moment of chewing and swallowing, Feliciano answered again—this time actually comprehensible.
”He’s right here!”
Feliciano pointed to Usagi, who was also eating fresh toast.
”WHY DIDNT YOU TELL ME IT WAS THERE WHILE I WAS LOOKING FOR HIM?!”
Lovino yelled, furious by now.
”I didn’t know you were looking for him!”
Feli pleaded, his brother could be really scary when angry…
Usagi had been munching on the toast happily, making little noises indicating relaxation.
”Awww, bunny…C’mere bunny!”
Feli cooed, trying to get Usagi’s attention.
Lovino and Feliciano had been taking care of Usagi for about a month now. Elliot said she couldn’t take care of him for a bit and asked them to do it for her for a while. She said she would be visiting Italy soon to pick him up.
Usagi stuck his tongue out at Feli, walking over to him as Feli covered him in kisses and pets.
”You’ve gotten so fat!”
Feli said, holding Usagi up with nothing but affection.
”Don’t hold it up like that after it just ate…”
Lovino scolded his brother, even though he had not a clue if what he just said was true. It sounded true enough to him.
Being honest, neither Lovino nor Feliciano knew how to take care of animals. They didn’t know what to feed it, so they just gave Usagi whatever they had eaten that day. Usually pasta.
Usagi slipped out of Feli’s affectionate hold, now going to sniff Romano’s socks.
Usagi looked up at him expectedly.
”You just ate.”
Lovino said to the rabbit bluntly.
It was kind of Lovino’s fault—Lovino was usually the one to feed Usagi, so he guessed that now it associates him with food. Great.
Usagi continued to stare up at Lovino, waiting for him to get him food.
Lovino stared back.
Feli watched as Usagi sprinted past between Lovino’s legs to try to get to the kitchen. Lovino didn’t think before rushing after him, knocking down the toaster that finally had some light shed on it after months now.
“Damnit, Feliciano! Get up and help me get it!”
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry!!”
Feli yelped at his brother’s hollering.
By the time that Feli caught up to Lovino, Usagi had been found. In the bathroom. With Toilet paper and soap all over the floor.
Lovino sighed.
”When is Elliot getting here?”
Asked a very frustrated Lovino, rubbing his temples.
”She said she’d be here today yesterday! She didn’t specify when, though.”
”Lovely.”
