Hat Guy and Lumine stood on either side of Nahida while they stared down Dottore. He had that nasty smirk on his face.
“So that's how it is.” Dottore hummed as he manipulated the platform they were standing on, opening it right under Travelers feet and closing it around Nahida.
Hat Guy slammed his fists against the floor as it reclosed before he could go down to save Traveler. “No!”
“Let's see if you are more willing to save your friend or your god, Scaramouche.” and with that Dottore disappeared, probably wherever the Traveler went.
He hissed as he tried to think, he was so conflicted.
[Don't worry Hat Guy… I'll be fine.] Nahida's voice sounded in his head. [go save the traveler.]
The boy with the hat groaned as he looked at the Irminsul wood covering the traveler. With a nod he jumped off the side of the platform, activating his Anemo vision to take him further down until he saw Traveler laying on a platform with Dottore hovering near them.
Speeding up as fast as he could, he quickly grabbed his companion and landed a little away from Dottore. Their opponent looked at them before waving his hand and everything turned white.

Hat Guy and Traveler were forced out of the Irminsul tree after a ruthless fight against Dottore. Cyno and Tighnari were already at the Sanctuary of Sarusthana and caught them as they were forced away from the center.
“Nahida!”
“Buer!”
Traveler and Hat Guy cried in unison the names of the goddess that didn't get removed with them as they tried to get away from the other two.
“We need to go now!” Tighnari insisted. “Something is going on! We need to get back to the desert!”
Cyno and Tighnari pulled Hat Guy and Traveler towards the door.
“You need to be ready for a fight. So just work with us.” Cyno spoke as Traveler struggled in his arms.
“But-”
Tighnari cut her off, “Not now! We have bigger issues!”
“Buer is still in there!” Hat Guy yelled, shocking both Tighnari and Cyno. He had never acted this way, it was only now they realized how attacked he was.
“Well the whole plan to take Sumeru City back is failing, everyone without a vision suddenly turned into these monstrous versions of themselves. And then Dehya suddenly attacked Candace. Candace is holding them off to the best of her abilities but we don't know how much longer she will last.” Cyno revealed, which caused the two struggling individuals to freeze. “We need to get out and help Candace before she fails.”
Traveler nodded at Hat Huy as they both gave up and Cyno and Tighnari let go of them reluctantly.
“We will come back for you, Buer.” Hat Guy said as they all ran out of the Sanctuary of Sarusthana. He jumped into the air for them to get a birds eye view.
“She's fine, but we need to hurry.” he called down after a moment as he flew just above the trio. “I don't think she will last much longer.”
Cyno nodded, “Hat Guy, take Tighnari and provide aerial support for Candace, me and Traveler will be there soon.”
Hat Guy nodded and grabbed Tighnari under the arms to lift him up and dashed down to where Candace was fighting everyone on treasure street.
Placing Tighnari on a roof of Lambad’s Tavern then hovered near him while they attacked, Tighnari with his arrows and Hat Guy with his wind slashes. All of them were attacking each other.
They all looked so disturbing. Their limbs extended to the point they were crying with every movement, but it was like they had no choice but to continuously attack one another. Some of their faces looked deformed, flesh from their bodies was missing and blood flowing down their pitch black eyes.
Tighnari scrunched his nose, “it smells like rotten flesh. We need to grab Candace and leave as soon as possible.”
Hat Guy nodded and swiftly flew down to sweep up Candace. She fought but then seemed to relax for a second when she realized it was him.

Arriving at the scene, Traveler and Cyno skimmed the area as they quickly cut down the unhumanly looking individuals, putting them out of their clear misery. Suddenly a wave of Pyro came from Cynos' left.
“Cyno! Duck!” He complained as Traveler created some Hydro and launched it at the Pyro. They saw what used to be Dehya staring at them, eyes hollow and her jaw extended beyond anything humanly possible. Her body was burnt all over and there were corpses covered in flames all around them. This would be a difficult fight against the Flame Mane.
