A Peter Parker's Story

Summary:

Peter parker is a 15-turning-16 year old kid who coincidentally happens to be a web-headed vigilante (or to the eyes of most civilians ,hero) who protects New York to the best he can. When he decides to sign up for stark industries, just because he was bored on a random Thursday, he didn't expect for: a) to be actually accepted into the internship, b) to be Tony Starks personal intern and c) to see the how tables have turned once he comes for the internship. Not only will this be a ride full of emotions and craziness for Peter, but a life-changing journey he won't forget (nor regret :)).

Notes:

This story will be written in different perspectives in some events of the story, and there may be bad spelling (or structure). This is my first fanfic if anyone cared. I am also working on this on wattpad, aaand I have no experience in ao3, except reading the fics, but that doesn't count, so yeah, first timer here. wish me luck at least xx. (I'm from Britain too, so vocabulary will be different, sorry not sorry-ish :))

Chapter 1: The Beginning Of It All pt.1

Chapter Text

"Phew! Well, that was quite the fight"

I then turned to face the Avengers. It was a late evening in New York, and here I was, standing in front of the one-and-only, Avengers, after helping them out, as Spider-Man with a fight against some aliens that decided to show up this very day. You could actually see the stars up from the Avengers Tower balcony, (for once) and, well, it was quite a calm night. But, something felt of. The Avengers were all staring at me with either confusion or with surprise. Except for Thor -which honestly should have been a concern. It was awkward, like too awkward for my liking, so I decided to break the silence with a,

"Why are you guys looking at me like that? Did I get something on my very amazing mask or wha-". While my hand was reaching out to my face, I just froze. My mask is off.

"Shit". My mask is off.

The Avengers started to approach me, with so many questions, that I started to step backwards until I got to the edge of the balcony.

"wtf Peter-", "why didn't you tell us?" ,"how did you manage to keep this away from us?-", "first of all, language, and second of all what-". And so did the questions just go on and on and on. My chest starting to feel tight, and my ears making a buzzing sound, making the questions go faint, too faint. Damn, didn't know I, Peter Parker, could get this stressed once they found out this secret. I was planning on it, but not now. Definitely, not now.

In the mist of this chaos, I noticed Bucky Barnes at the back, just looking at me, as if he was studying my face. He probably realised this made me uncomfortable, as he started to try to get the Avengers to calm down a bit. Then -nearby- there was just Thor, unbothered by this whole damn situation.

I started to look around, maybe I could find an exit. Looking around, my eyes drifted to my web shooters. Perfect! Though I used a lot of the web fluid for the battle, I still had managed to remain some for at least three or four laps around the whole of NYC- and no, I'm not exaggerating.

The buzzing in my ears have stopped. Half-way through their questions, I started to lean on my back, the way I do when I free-fall from a building to go swinging.

Now, hold up. I know what you're thinking. 'How on earth did I get myself into this very sticky situation?' For you to understand that, let's take you waaaaaay back to the very beginning, where everything has started.

---------a few months ago-----------------(how long ago exactly?-idfk)-------------

Hi! My name is Peter Parker, and I'm a fifteen-turning-sixteen year old teenager. I have been bitten by a radioactive spider, and for the past year and a half, I have been the one and only Spider-Man. And DON'T forget that hyphen!

I was hit by a drone twice, I met team Red (that's Deadpool and Daredevil for you), I fought the bad guys and supervillains, I ate tacos at the rooftop (I recommend), may have revealed my identity 3 times accidentally, and I've been through a roller-coaster of emotions- oh but not a regular roller-coaster, I'm talking about a full-on extreme roller-coaster with loops and hills. Yup, that extreme.

But all that aside, I also need my Peter Parker time, the no-fighting time or how I prefer, my civilian time, which is why I am on my way to meet my best-friend, Ned!

Ned is my best friend of 5-years, which I am hoping will last for longer, as we grow older together. He's been there for my highs and for my lows, and I have been there for his. We've got a whole handshake, and both really like Star wars and building Lego, I mean, you can't argue with that . And ... ,well let's say he is the first person to know about my vigilante side of my double life. And to be honest, I thought he wouldn't have accepted it, but he did. He understood my views and why I help out, even jokes around being the guy in the chair.

And speaking of Ned, he is right there, waiting for me near our ultimate-hangout place, the Delmar's Deli-Grocery. Now hear me out, they got good sandwiches there.

"Yo, Peter!"

"Ned!"

There goes the classic handshake, old-school bro handshake, then the slide back, up goes the bird, slide back again, then we skim past, there we elbow, backhand, forehand (or the low-high five), the slide back once again, fist bump, and the grand finale, the guns.

" How's it going dude!?" (Ned)

"Better than ever, and you?" (Peter)

" Honestly, stressing out on the physics test we got, have you studied?"

Oh shit. It totally fell out of my mind.

"Well, about that-"

"Peter, did you seriously forget?"

"Maybe, but hey, I got good excuses!"

"You're not wrong, I was actually hoping that you'd help out study for it"

"Yeah, I've got your back Ned, don't worry, I guess we could go into some café and study there"

"Yeah, I guess we could"

On our way to the cafe, we talked and talked about the new Mandalorian and Grogu movie that released, and Ned just asking questions about Spider-Man, like I think the weirdest one he has ever asked was if I layed eggs, ahem, no I do not, and wish that I won't, but back to the topic, we arrived to our destination, a small café just round some corner.

A few hours passed, and I was at the middle of explaining the foundation of physics until Ned randomly states,

"Peter, if I'm completely honest with you, your way to good at this, you should definitely sign up for Stark Industries Internship, they'll definitely want you, even if you're 15."

"Dude, what?-"

"I'm not kidding, I genuinely think you'll make it"

"That was the most random thing you ever told me"

"According to my calculations, this may not have been the only time I stated anything weird" -imagine a posh accent

"Yeah, no, asking if I laid eggs was the weirdest thing you ever said"

"Hey it was a genuine question!"

I snorted, and then started to laugh because how could that be a genuine question? We both started to laugh a lot, but that proposal stuck with me.

Should I sign into stark industries internship?
