It’s instinct that has him scrambling for a weapon, but there's nothing within reach. His assault rifle was lost in the blast. His pistols and knives in his thigh holsters, beyond the barrier of the concrete rubble. The backup knives at his ankles are laughably out of reach. The knife at his collar bone is already gone, stuck in some poor bastard's vertebrae over an hour ago.
“Look, he twitched,” one of the voices drawls. “Told you Ghoulie here was alive.”
OR
After an explosion leaves him pinned, Ghost is found by an enemy combatant with ill intentions. Soap arrives in time to disrupt their plan and take Ghost for himself (consensually this time).
