Summary
One year after arriving in New York, Ramona decided to return to the island to attend the new celebration. The pine forest there, the flowing water, the chirping of insects and birds—and that girl. Although she was very reluctant to admit it, Oona was the deepest temptation drawing her back to the island. Yet when she set foot on the island again, she discovered that there was already someone new by Oona's side—a woman who was cheerful, warm, able to smooth over every conflict, bring laughter to everyone, and who would never utter hurtful or cruel words. Ramona had originally thought she could simply continue being friends with Oona, and that it might be the better choice. But as one uncontrollable event after another unfolded during the celebration, Ramona and Oona were once again drawn deep into a whirlpool of emotion...
