Patrona was the truest higher power Orphea knew. She offered true gifts, those of power and strength and force. All she asked in return was blood, gratitude and respect.
Seeing her made Orphea understand the cults of old. For Patrona, she would bow down. For Patrona, she would kill. For Patrona, she would offer herself up, for anything her goddess desired. She would be content to be used, as long as it satisfied Patrona. She’d never felt this kind of fervour before. Watching Patrona working felt like being precariously on the edge of a precipice. Orphea would welcome the fall.
