Snow Pudding

Summary:

A fanfic for jasonshusbandapollo, love your art!

Work Text:

Connor smirked as he creeped behind his enemy. The traitor was completely unaware of his presence behind himself and too invested on Travis telling him some made up story about gods know what. He raised his snow made weapon, and striked the boy in a second.

The boy screamed in betrayal as Travis ran away with Connor, laughing so hard that he tripped over his own feet before re gaining balance.

Apollo let out a groan as he shared his head, trying to get the snow off of his hair and wings, which was an empty try. He frowns as his brain feels like exploding inside his head.

"I swear on-"

Connor interrupts from afar.

"Got what you deserve after betraying us!"

"What did I even do!?"

Apollo cries out, his mind completely blank as he thinks what could he had done to deserve to get his brain freezed.

"You, sun god wanna be!"

Travis shouts,

"How could you think that we'll let it slide after you steal from our secret stash of milk pudding!?"

Apollo blinks, utterly shocked.

"What?.."

Connor scoffs.

"Don't even try to deny it, half of our stash is gone!"

The winged boy frowns and folds his arms.

"And your evidence to blame me?"

Travis huffs.

"There was lethe water on where our puddings were supposed to sit. And only your cabin has that. Then on top of that, you're literally the only Hypnos kid that gets out of your cabin-"

"To see your flashy boyfriend."

Connor ends the sentence for Travis with a frown on his face that is identical to his brother. Apollo feels his face heat up a little at the mention of Jason- what the Hermes kids were saying was true, he was the only Hypnos kid that got out of his cabin in the middle of winter since all of his siblings seemed to learn how to hibernate. But he haven't touched any kind of pudding! Especially ones that could belong to Stolls- he haven't lost his mind that much yet.

"I did NOT touched your puddings!"

He says back, which the Stols didn't took well. And before he realized, he was being dragged to where the puddings were supposed to be secured from his arms.

-Apollo groans when Connor pushes him forward. Damn, the Hermes kids were really serious when it came to their desserts… He takes a step focusing at the ground as the sight shoos his previous thoughts away and put a frown to his face. There really was lethe water on the ground, this was bad. REALLY bad. It could mean some got splashed -or worse- drank it. He walks around, trying to find the source of water as he follows a trail.

'mew'

His face falls blank as he tries to process if one of the Stolls have meowed- or if he was making up noises in his head because he didn't knew how to hibernate like his siblings before he sees the white fur trough the snow.

He subconsciously leans and grabs it- a little kitten. Connor and Travis lean over his shoulders to look at the little creature. Then they talk at the same moment;

"Finder keeps it!"

And before he knew it, both of the boys have vanished before Apollo's eyes.

"… I hope both sides of you two's pillows stay hot all night."

He grumbles before turning his gaze back to the little feline in his palms.

The kitty was small- so small that if Apollo was to cup his hands, it could use it as a bed. It's fur was white, which explained why the other two boys couldn't see it before. It locks his ice blue eyes to Apollo's brown ones, making theboy feel like as if the cat was staring right at his soul. Apollo shakes his head and focuses on the liquid thats dripping from the kittens tail and it's scent- the liquid was water of lethe, obviously, and it smelled like milk and comfort. Like Hypnos cabin. It made sense, the cat probably spend time at his cabin before it got hungry and ran off to find some food.

Apollo sighed, and took the cat to where every sane camper would- the Zeus cabin.

-Jason let out a yelp as Nico tries to hit his head with an another Mythomagic card -it was Hebe this time-

"For the love of our fathers Jason,"

Nico hisses.

"Can you at least try to understand the rules?"

Jason huffs in response.

"Hey, I'm new to learning this game! And let me tell you, this game is not beginner friendly at all!"

Nico rolls his eyes impatiently.

"Or your head is too full of fluffy wings and silk pillows- I swear Cara is ten times smarter than you when it comes to games."

Jason groans.

"Lies! He just plays which cards are closes to him and hold your hand asking if he did good or no and you tell him whatever he wants to hear!"

As Jason ends his sentence, Nico's face and ears get so red that Jason could feel the heat radiating from him.

"I- you shut up!"

Nico sputters and storms away, throwing the cards at Jason's face who grimaces before he sees Apollo approach his cabin and his heart makes him feel like he's floating in open skies with pure joy. He gets up from his cabin stairs as a smile cracks on his face at the sight of the excited Hypnos kid who was holding something behind his body.

"Hey,"

He says when his Apollo stops right at the first step to his cabin. His heart makes a back flip when the other boy smiles back at him.

"Hey to you too- look what I have."

Apollo says and shows Jason the kitten, enjoying the expression of surprise on his face.

"Where did you find that?"

The blond asks, reaching for the car. Apollo gets in alongside Jason as his boyfriend takes the little thing.

"Long story- but it needs a bath and a name."

Jason nods, examining the little creature as it plays with his fingers.

"What about food?"

Apollo grins.

"Nah- I'm sure he's well fed."

Jason nods, touching the bump on it's stomach.

"You're right- and we got a little girl here."

Apollo hums.

"Cool, what are we naming her tho?"

Jason looks up at his boyfriend and they share a look.

"Pudding?"

"Pudding."

They smile at each other, little did they knew- their smiles would be really, REALLY short lived.

Apollo let out a whine as Jason puts an another plaster on his arm as he sits on Jason's bed, sniffing.

Self note: do NOT bathe kittens unless you're ready to make your arm into a cut board.

Jason leans and blows on an another scratch his boyfriend got from the monsterous feline who's now curled up into a ball in the lap of the very same boy he tried to murder one minute ago for trying to get her clean.

"Shhh… they're not that deep, love."

Jason hums softly while putting the first aid kit away.

"You'll be okay."

Apollo groans.

"If this keeps up, I'll-"

Jason shooks his head and leans to give a little peck on his boyfriends lips, making him go quiet as he blinks while Jason pulls back, making him smile.

"Come on, aren't you too tired already?"

Jason asks, and Apollo's eyes shine as he jumps on the opportunity.

"Yeah! I mean- I've been up for like HOURS! And I'm emotionally scarred and need sleep to recover!"

He says, moving on the bunk bed to put his head on Jason's chest as Pudding stirs on her sleep. Jason let's out a sigh. Apollo can hear the way his boyfriends heart is beating like he's running a marathon under his ribcage and it's worth every single scratch.

"Hey…"

Jason whispers, making his boyfriend look up. He places an another kiss on Apollo's lips before murmuring;

"Tell me if the scratches hurt again."

Apollo just smiles and nods, letting himself drift into his father's realm in the arms of the most precious person he has.
