Sometimes he wants to fuse fucking cells, get their atoms confused enough that biology gives up trying to work out where Pete ends and Patrick starts. He’s had the thought before that if they could somehow become one of those fucked-up conjoined things with two heads and one heart, some Lovecraftian nightmare doctors would put behind glass while arguing about whether separation would kill them, Pete would probably finally consider the distance between them acceptable.
Or: Pete is in love with Patrick, Patrick has a boyfriend, and Pete would really prefer the boyfriend stopped existing.
