Summary
Hermione and Draco had been content with keeping their relationship under wraps while he completed his potions mastery in France, but now that he's back on English soil, his mother has made it her ultimate goal to find him a pure-blood wife.
Hermione refuses to continue hiding. But is Draco willing to go against his family and fight for her?
"I love you, Hermione. You are it for me. I refuse to imagine a life without you in it."
She watched him, both of them exhausted and panting from the fight. She could take a step towards him and he’d rush to close the distance. She could clutch him and apologise for yelling, and he’d kiss away her tears and assure her he meant every word he’d said. And the thing was, she believed him. Or maybe she just believed that he thought he meant it. But as long as he kept her secret from his mother, he was silently drawing a line. He loved her, but not enough.
So instead of a step forward, she rocked back. Disappointed and despondent.
