Summary
Nobody would call Paige Bueckers a people person, but after seven years on the professional circuit, she’s earned the respect—and, shockingly, the affection—of her peers. Primarily because Paige is very, very good at tennis.
Well, she's good at most tennis. Paige is just catastrophically bad at doubles. Which has already cost her a spot on the Olympic team once, and she refuses to let it happen twice. So when Team USA starts testing pairings for the next Games, Paige vows to trust her partners, keep her mouth shut, and, above all else, play nice. She then proceeds to shit the bed.
Until she’s paired with the Azzi Fudd. Maddeningly talented, unequivocally sexy, born into tennis royalty Azzi Fudd, aka the bougie Princess who's rubbed Paige the wrong way for years. Against all odds, together on the court they’re electric. So good that Paige’s Olympic future depends entirely on convincing Azzi to partner with her.
Azzi, meanwhile, has a different problem. Winning has gone stale. Tennis doesn’t thrill her like it used to. When it comes to Paige Bueckers, Azzi sees a wild dog trying very hard to pass for a puppy.
