“Apparently it was Aiku-senpai who said it, he didn’t realized that some other caster had already started their stream,” Kunigami sighed in exasperation, landing his body on the couch by Isagi’s side. The sudden weight made the couch spring, bouncing Isagi lightly.
While Isagi had been getting used to these VR spaces for a few months now, there’s still part of him that never stopped feeling amazed at how real the sensation of everything is.
It’s always the little thing that get to him the most, like how amazing it is that Kunigami who is in a whole different prefectures can be felt like he is right by Isagi’s side. The weight of them both dipping down the couch, the warmth, it all felt so surreal still.
“Well, I don’t think anyone aside from the higher up will be that mad at him. I have seen some fans already guessing it just from the collab announcement.” Chigiri chimed in, his vr avatar materializing into the space and immediately heading for the same couch that they are on which Isagi then decided that it is best to just move off the couch before it get too crowded.
“Hey, you hate me that bad?” The teasing tone in Chigiri’s voice earned him nothing more than a tiny blep from Isagi.
“I’m just going to my room for a bit,” Isagi waved goodbye to the two, the pair seem to have a lot to talk about anyway. Walking out of the living room, Isagi head for his room.
He could teleport there. Walking make him feel more energized though somehow.
With the theme of their group being fantasy, their virtual hub is inside and around a collosal tree with thick branches spreading wide across the sky forming a leafy canopy overhead, shielding everyone under it from the harsh virtual sun.
The fact that he is chosen as one of the Syncaster to debut in BLTV still felt like he is just having a long unending dream. Even if he had already spend a few months just practicising, preparing and getting used to it — it still hasn’t quite sink in yet.
He had applied when the audition is announced due to his parent insistence, there’s zero expectation from him that anything will came out of it. Who can blame him? BLTV is the leading syncaster agency under NeuroSync Corp, every streamer around the world that want to make it big, streamer that want to have a taste of the most advanced virtual reality technology would want to seize a place in being a syncaster under BLTV.
Yet against all odds, he got in. He doesn’t exactly know what Ego had seen in him but he’s not about to blow his chances.
His mind that had been busy reminiscing the past few months events come to a stop as he finally arrived in front of his room. Swinging the door open, he is greeted with his room that will be his main space for whenever he’s just doing a casual chatting or gaming stream.
Most of the room had already been furnished before he even got here, accordingly to the theme of a moon rabbit. He figured that they had been working on the whole space way before they even opened the audition for the 4th generation.
Which is why — Isagi glanced at the oval full body mirror in the room, reflecting back the image of his avatar — he is surprised that the avatar is basically just an animefied version of him with bunny ears and tail.
He thought that their avatar model is something that had already been prepared early on, thats usually how vtuber company does with it's vtuber model but apparently it’s only the outfit of the avatar is in the work when they were chosen. When he heard people say that the avatar of BLTV Syncaster is based of their actual faces and body, he had thought that was just a baseless rumor that some parasocial delusional fans had started.
How would he have known that rumor was the truth?
Anyway — Isagi turned himself around, sizing himself front and back in the mirror — he doesn’t really have much to complaint about his avatar.
There’s stuff that he feel odd about, like the fact that he can move his tail and it — for some reason — have to stuck out of his short for everyone to see, he’s thankful that he at least have a haori that can cover it up whenever he turned around. Overall, since his futaba is preserved even in his avatar, he doesn’t have much else to complain about.
“Yocchan!!”
Isagi’s whole body flinches, his slightly flopping bunny ears shot up. His door flew open and as expected, Bachira came barreling in and tackling Isagi to the floor. It wasn’t as painful as it would have been if it had happened in real life but it still managed to send some shocks and pain as his elbow slammed to the virtual floor.
“Bachira…” Isagi moaned, hoping that if he exaggerated his pain a bit, Bachira would quickly get off and maybe even felt a bit guilty but who is he even fooling. Ten months with Bachira should be enough to let him know that the guy would at most just sheepishly grin at him.
Isagi peeked down with one eye and yeah, lo and behold Bachira is just grinning at him and still have his chin on his stomach, not moving an inch from where they fell.
“I miss you so much!”
“We literally hang out all day yesterday,” Pushing on the floor to sit up, Isagi have his other hand to push against Bachira’s face. Bachira’s theme being a Cheshire Cat is suitable for his mischievous and unpredictable nature but at times, he also felt like an energetic puppy.
Bachira whined as his face being pushed away, “Exactly, it has been like twelve hours since then! That’s so long.”
“Okay, whatever you big baby. We are going to start streaming next week and by that time, we have way less time to spend with each other.” That apparently had been the wrong thing to say because Bachira decided to be even more dramatic, hugging him and wailing like a dying seal.
“No!! I don’t want that! Can’t we just collab everyday?” Isagi huffed, he could no longer hide the smile on his face — while he may act as if Bachira is a bother — that couldn’t be further from the truth.
They clicked so well and while Isagi think they would both make for a great collaboration stream, it is very important that they each solidify their brand as individual first before having a lot of collaboration with other syncaster and streamer.
This have been argued for nth times, Isagi knows that Bachira understand well enough why they couldn’t have a collab stream everyday so Isagi just decided to pat his friend head as he continued to wail and whine on his chest. The sudden pricked up of Bachira’s cat ear is all Isagi’s warning and he managed to avoid his chin being knocked into when Bachira perked up.
“Oh wait! I just remember,” Bachira started, shuffling around to reach for his watch — a virtual watch that basically function like a phone in this vr space — and tapped something on it to show it off to Isagi. “They just announced our debut date on twitter. Look at what people are saying!”

Using his own virtual watch to continue on scrolling and replying to some of his senpai that is responding to the debut announcement — his heart began to beat a bit faster — the surreal feeling resurfacing again. There’s a lot of tweets adoring design of Bachira’s, Chigiri’s and himself and calling it cute and pretty. For Kunigami, most seem to be fawning over his looks and body, calling him hot.
Isagi pouted, he wanted to be called hot too. A sudden weight on his back reminded him again that Bachira is still here and he smoothly wiped the pout from his face.
“Why are you pouting, Yocchan?”
Well, maybe he didn’t wiped it off fast enough.
Isagi decided to ignore the question and change the topic to something that is more important, “You know you can’t call me ‘Yocchan’ on stream, right?”

"We are live," Karasu said, settling into his chair with the energy of someone who had reluctantly agreed to do this.

"—and Karasu-senpai! And we are here to cover the debut of BLTV's newest generation, the 4ᵗʰ generation, REVERIE, who will be debuting one by one starting—" He checked the time on his virtual watch and gasped dramatically before showing off the countdown timer on his watch to the viewers,"—in approximately four minutes. The stream started with a simple but neat ‘Starting Soon’ waiting screen that faded, revealing the sight of what looked like a wood cabin room with a standing whiteboard at the center and Ren Roukami standing with his arms crossed to the side of it.

Faced with the accusation, Nanasol gaped and gasped, flustered trying to defend himself.
"Moving on," Karasu turned to the camera back, ignoring Nanasol affronted gasp. "Hachi Megunyan."
"Hachi Megunyan," Nanasol repeated — half glaring at Karasu before deciding to just ignore his senpai earlier teasing and continued following the script given."Just watching his predebut clip, I get the feeling that we are gonna have a very fun and energetic addition upcoming. Ah, I can’t wait."

Megunyan started to talked about his basic information, his height and such. All the while still floating in the air and there's only swirling smoke that formed into words and picture that helped as a visual guide.
His flow were harder to predict than Roukami as Megunyan seem to jumped quickly from one topic to another and back to it again with no clear pattern.
One moment he talk about the game and songs he likes and then somehow it jumped into food he hate, ranting for a bit about it before going back to the list of general things that he likes in a blink of an eye.
From the list of thing he likes, there's the name ‘Icchan’ popping up that goes without mention before Megunyan change the topic again to his goals and his stream schedule for the upcoming week.

"He's going to be interesting," he said.
“Should I be worried about his goal on pranking everyone?”
“Yes, you are gonna be the easiest target.”

The broadcast began with a minimalist title screen of Hyou Akagiri’s name. The name sat in the center typed in a cursive, elegant font, surrounded by a gentle loop of bubbles popping up around it. After a few seconds passed by, the screen faded to a scene of an underwater cave that glows with blue glimmer illuminating the water in the cave and the wall of it.
Akagiri emerged from the water with his back facing the camera and sat himself on the edge of the cave floor, facing the camera now. The drip of water coating his body glistened, reflecting the cave soft blue glimmer highlighting each part of his body as it dripped down to the floor. With an unhurried ease he smoothed the damp hair away from his eyes with the tips of his finger.
Once seemingly satisfied with the state of his hair, he finally glance to the camera with a smile slowly breaking through his stoic expression.

“Now, follow me, this is only the entrance to my room.” With that said, he jumped into the water. He emerged back from the water, this time much closer to the screen and take the camera with him.
The space under water is much brighter than the upper cave part that they had been in. It was illuminated with soft glow from bioluminescent corals and bright crystal. Just like all the previous member, the room is a bedroom that is designed to fit the concept of each syncaster.
Releasing the camera to float in place, he swam around the room, twisting around gracefully.

Nanasol cleared his throat, cheeks a bit flushed. “Anyway, seeing REVERIE space really make me feel kinda jealous. Don’t get me wrong, our space is still very cool but whoa, they really are making use vr space to the max.”

The stream started with a cute animation loop of a chibi Usaichi running around the moon with a wooden mallet, the loop goes for a while before it end with the chibi sitting down to eat mochi.
When the animation end, it transitioned to a view of the full moon illuminating through the round window of a more normal looking bedroom. Usaichi was seated by the window on a built in window seat.
As the camera zoomed slowly closer to Usaichi, he inclined his head a bit with a warm smile. "Hello, I’m Tsuki Usaichi."
“As you can see,” Usaichi tilted his head a bit, showing off his bunny ear.”I am a Moon Rabbit.”
“You may wonder, ‘hmm, if this guy is a moon rabbit, why his room isn’t on the moon?’” he hummed, tapping his pointer finger on his chin.

Usaichi squinted his eyes as he read the live chat, his bunny ears twitching before he decided he have enough of it and just shook his head at it. “You guys are weird.”
“Anyway, moving on to my likes and dislikes.” He turned around and began to show off the stuff that coorelate to what he’s talking about. When the topic of his favourite animal come up, he waddled into the screen with a giant lobster plushie that is almost ¾ of his size. Then he also throw the huge totoro plushie that he have onto the lobster plushie on the floor as he talk about his favourite movie, My Neighbor Totoro.
As he was busy happilly talking about the stuff that he likes, he missed the chat that is gushing over him rolling on the floor with the plushies.
“For the games that I like or most probably going to be streaming, I like puzzle games, games that require strategy is also pretty fun to me, competitive games, I think I’m pretty open to a lot of games. I have also been thinking of doing mukbang stream, drawing stream, there’s so many things I want to do honestly.”

“Now that you say that, I just remembered they haven’t decided on what game they’re doing for their first collab, right?” Karasu asked with his head slightly tilted, looking at Nanasol for an answer.
Nanasol was half opening his mouth when he paused, squinting his eyes as if he tried to browse thru the memory data in his brain for answer too.
“I don’t…. think so, no… Hm, well, when HEARTH was deciding our debut schedule, that is one of the thing that we struggled to decide on the most too. Each one of us want a different game.”
“Yeah, same case with my gen too. Anyway, that’s enough out of us for the program. Since these new kids haven’t decided on a lot of things; their fan names, some hashtags they’re gonna use and now even the game for their upcoming collab stream, don’t forgot to tune into each of their “Intro 2.0” stream tomorrow where there’s no time limit like today and you guys can help decide on some stuff.”
