Summary
Marishi Moto meets Mirio Togata when they are twelve, when he is stuck halfway through the ground and she offers to turn his quirk off long enough to get him out.
After that, there is an empty seat that stops being empty, years of walking to school together, and eventually U.A. — where Mirio enters the Hero Course exactly as planned and Marishi is scored at zero by an entrance exam built around robots her quirk cannot affect.
That should have been the end of it.
Instead there is a Sports Festival, an underground hero career, Nighteye and Eri, sixty-one Fridays of the same question, a war, and a lifetime of discovering that the people who save everyone else sometimes have to let themselves be saved too.
