Archenhold Temple of the White Rat

First Night

Clerks of the White Rat will be on hand to collect any clothing, non-perishable food, or household goods that you care to donate. If you need assistance bringing donations to the Temple, we will also have runners on hand. Tonight, we remember and give thanks for the generous.

Second Night

Healers will be walking the city throughout the day and available at the Temple in the evening. Please hail one if you have any concerns you want looked at, or hang a sheet on your door if you need one to stop by. Tonight, we remember and care for the ill.

Third Night

Priests of the White Rat will be walking the city throughout the day and available at the Temple in the evening. Please hail one if you desire prayer or comfort, or hang a sheet on your door if you need one to stop by. Tonight, we remember and grieve with the struggling.

Longest Night

Join us at the Temple for a community feast. Anyone wishing to bring a favorite dish is encouraged to do so, but all are welcome regardless of contribution. The Temple’s kitchens will also be open beginning at noon, for anyone who wishes to be part of preparing the feast. Tonight, we remember and rejoice in our community.

Fifth Night

Join us at the Temple for a time of contemplation towards the new year. Clerks will be on hand to offer counsel to anyone seeking it. Please consider sharing with us any needs you see in our city or any ideas you have for its betterment. Anyone who wishes is additionally welcome to hang inscribe hopes for the new year on the trellises of our community garden. Clerks will be available to assist those who cannot write. Tonight, we remember and support those striving for change.

Sixth Night

Join us throughout the city for the singing of Longnight carols, old and new. All voices, instruments, and languages are welcome. Tonight, we remember and cherish those who bring us joy.

Seventh Night

The Temple’s stores will be open to anyone who has need. The Temple will be open, and carts will be driven throughout the city with clothing, food, and household goods. Please hail one if you are in need, or hang a sheet on your door if you need one to stop by. Tonight, we remember and celebrate our shared gifts.

If the season finds you merry, may you bring lightness to those around you.

If the season finds you mourning, may those around you bring comfort.

If the season finds you flourishing, may you spur others on to growth.

If the season finds you wilting, may those around you restore you.

If the season finds you lost, may the Rat guide your steps.

If the season finds you assured, may you guide others in your turn.

In this season, and in them all, may you carry compassion close to your heart, may justice flow freely from your hands, and may you walk with us all towards a brighter future. The Rat and His blessings be with you.
