Dear diary,
It has been some time now since Crowley and I have stopped the world from ending for the second time (yeah, let's not talk about that, nasty business) and permanently shut down Heaven and Hell (wankers are now unemployed but Adam and Yehoshua are dealing with all that). We have settled together in a lovely cottage in the South Downs. It is quite extraordinary to experience these ordinary days, free to do as we please. An (retired) angel and a (also retired) demon who have an eternity at their fingertips and who have decided to spend it together, side by side.
We have begun putting together an album of our life here - the places we have visited (mostly seafood restaurants in Brighton), the adventures we have had (Aziraphale choking on a bad shrimp), and, perhaps most importantly, the perfectly ordinary days in between (Aziraphale learning to cook seafood at home). This creative endeavour is filling our rainy evenings quite nicely. Besides other activities, of course (you write about those in the OTHER journal. The mind you have, angel...).
But there is still so much we have yet to experience together! And so we have started keeping a suggestion box (that's my line!) and we fill it with all the things we want to do in the future. I am pleased to say it already holds ideas for many lifetimes (yeah, with that restaurant list of yours, it's a good thing we're actually immortal).
Darling, can't you really get your own diary?
Demons don't do diaries, angel.
Well, you are retired. I am sure you can entertain yourself in many new ways now.
I am plenty entertained. This is entertaining. Also, someone needs to make sure you don't forget the important details.
Also, dinner is ready.
