Okay so I just watched Walpurgis no Kaiten and I'm literally still vibrating. This is my attempt to put into words what that movie did to my understanding of Homura and Madoka's dynamic, and also to provide a summary/warning guide for the absolute carnage of a fanwork I just wrote/read because clearly I have no chill.
Content warnings for the fanwork:
Lots of bodily fluids, dirty talk, and degradation — characters call each other names, there's a lot of cum, a lot of tears, a lot of "you're such a slut" energy.
Psychological hurt/comfort — Homura has a full breakdown mid-coitus because she's convinced she's a monster who doesn't deserve love. Madoka holds her through it. This is the point of the whole thing, but if you're not in the mood for emotional whiplash, maybe wait until you're in a stable headspace.
Self-harm references — Homura's self-loathing manifests physically, and there are descriptions of her hurting herself (not during sex, but in the aftermath of a nightmare). It's framed as a symptom of her mental state, not glamorized, but it's there.
