   Summary

   Ever since David Fry moved to Seattle in middle school, he and Gabriel Goodman—the resident 'perfect' boy—have been inseparable. When Gabe gets a girlfriend for the sake of reputation, however, David finds himself struggling to hide his flourishing feelings, as well as the fact he's noticed his best friend's struggle to come to terms with his true feelings. As senior year approaches, David decides he can't watch Gabe play pretend any longer and that it's time for a change. So, he sets a goal:
