PROLOGUE:
Will I Always Wonder? (An Original Poem)
I analyze your anatomy, gazing upon your geometry
Addicted to an agony, enamored with my misery
You give me butterflies, but I’ll brush them off
You make my cheeks blush, but I’ll dust it off
The guilt never leaves, nor does the desire
I turn you into poetry, the only way to have you
I admire your astronomy, focusing on your physiology
You glitter like a galaxy, your gentle magnetic gravity
You are the approximate sun in my solar system, my world tilts
I am not one in yours, not intentionally, not instinctively
I am a perfect unnecessary addition, always an “almost”
You never came for me and now you never will
I create an idea of you, constructing all your calamity
I come undone to you; I became undone- a calamity
I call it all off because I can’t call you to come home
I called it all along because I can’t call you home
Will I always wonder if you could’ve been the one?
I’ll always wonder if you would’ve been the one
