"Can we go swimming in the ocean, Venus?" I asked with wide eyes.
"Okay, little Star." Venus gave me a big old pat on the head and changed into her swimsuit. I tried to put mine on too, but I got tangled up in the clothes. "Let me help you," she said as she pulled my swimsuit down my body.
We went down the ladder of the lighthouse and out onto our little island in the middle of the ocean where we sat down on the sand.
"Are there any dangerous sea creatures in there?" I asked my adoptive mother as she checked the temperature of the water with her hand.
"Sometimes," she replied. "We just need to be careful around them so they won't hurt us."
I ran towards the waves of the ocean, splashing underwater and diving deep, not knowing that my tail got caught under a rock. Venus noticed and went down, removing the rock and bringing me up to the surface. "Are you okay?"
"I'm fine."
We both went under the ocean again and saw all the beautiful creatures there as our tails waved across the water before interlocking with each other.
"It's amazing, isn't it?"
