Work Text:
He is the sun, I am the moon.
He shines from the centre of my universe, his brightest rays fall on me, beaming, warming me, making me flutter.
I'm the moon, I'm his reflection, without him I cannot shine.
[You are the brightest star in my universe.]
He smiles generously, his smile lights up a room, it lights the darkest caverns of my heart. The ones I declared inaccessible, he breaches them effortlessly.
[I want you to be my home.]
He builds himself as a wall to defend me. He is my fortress, my armour, my moat. I am not weak but around him, I want to be.
He protects me, he cannot stand when I'm hurting. He wants to soothe me when I'm in pain, he wants to chase my sadness. He makes me better even when he doesn't know it.
I want to breach his defenses, want to know where he is soft, want him to know he doesn't have to be strong for me.
[I was put on this world to fight for you.]
I want to lose myself in him, forget where I end and where he starts. I want to melt into his body, share his thoughts, be one with his soul.
[I love you for who you are.]
He is strong, strong enough to break me. He touches me as if I'm fragile, he loves me quietly, he defends me fiercely.
His hands pin me to the grass, they help me up, they caress me with endless tenderness. I want to be worthy of these touches.
[I treasure every time I get to touch you.]
We find each other on the pitch, we act as as if we are one. We are connected by invisible threads.
[Losing you would be the end of me.]
