Summary
What if, in Age of Ultron, when Thor enters the waters of the Vision, his consciousness were to switch places with that of the post-Endgame Thor? A Thor who has been completely broken, and who never truly recovered from the loss of Loki.
Now trapped in his younger body, with many events still destined to happen before Thanos can obtain all the Infinity Stones, Thor will have to protect what, after everything he has lived through, has proven to be the most important thing in his life.
He will have to protect Loki without pushing him away, without smothering him with his affection, and, above all, without accidentally hurting him as he did in the past.
At the same time, he will have to learn how to live with the memories of a life no one else could possibly know about, without placing their weight on the people he loves.
And as he tries to change the future without destroying the present, he will have to find, recognize, and hold on to the allies he will need when the time comes to face Thanos.
Because this time, Thor has been given a second chance.
And he has no intention of wasting it.
