Without you

Summary:

Pregnant tamaki and Mirio is gone the whole time pretty much. Yeah.

Notes:

So I know I wrote one similar to this before, but I figured you guys don’t really care and if you don’t like it you won’t eat it.

Work Text:

Hado is currently laying on the couch with her legs dangling over the arm and one of her arms thrown over the back of it while I’m laying on the floor with one arm under my head and the other holding a pillow to my stomach. “I thought that morning sickness was only supposed to be in the morning,” I complain as nausea hits me again. Despite the fact that I have nothing left to throw up.

“And he was such a nice guy. He paid when we went out. I never had that before unless I go out with you and Mirio but that doesn’t count,” she fusses.

“So then I took a test and it’s positive,” I blush before I even finish my thought. “And it has to be Mirio’s cause he’s the only person I’ve been with in that way since that one alpha in first year,”

“Anyway, back to the story. I called that number I found on his fridge and turns out it wasn’t a plumber it was some girl that he’s supposedly married to. So then I left and went home and threw his stuff in the garage,”

“Now, he’s on some mission over seas on radio silence with no idea when he’ll be back and he doesn’t know I’m carrying his pup,”

We both fall silent for a minute. Then at the same time we say, “I hate men,”

She lays her head down on the arm of the couch. “Are you ok if I crash on the couch?” She asks.

“Sure,” I grumble. I don’t mind the company. Especially since the apartment is empty of Mirio.

Me and him are roommates and two months ago I went into heat and we hooked up and now I’m dealing with the consequences of my actions.

But I also don’t get off the floor. I live here now.

“You should kick Mirio out and I can move into his room,” she suggests. I glare at her.

“No,”

She places a hand on her chest. “Awwww so he is your alpha,”

I place the pillow on my face. “Shut up,” I mumble into it.

Two months pass and still nothing from Mirio. And I may or may not have started sleeping in his room. I’ve been craving his scent lately and I can’t help it.

I’m currently in hell. Mama has decided to drag me to the mall because apparently since I’m showing that means I need maternity clothes. My clothes still fit fine. I mean the pants are a little tight but it’s fine.

Being in a mall is not fine. “This is cute,” mama says, as she steps out from behind a clothing rack holding a shirt that is not cute.

I glance up and then go back to fidgeting with my fingers and staring at the floor. She sighs. “I know you miss him but putting your walls up around everyone isn’t an option,”

“I’m not. I just don’t think this is necessary,” she steps closer to me.

“Look at me,” I do but I don’t make eye contact. Eye contact always makes my nerves worse. “It’s not necessary yet, but it will be soon. If you really don’t like this shirt that’s fine. And we’ll find something that you do. In fact, we’re not leaving until you find something you like,”

I sigh. I really just want to go home.

Two months go by and I’m miserable. Mirio is still god knows where and I’m stuck at a paint store with Hado because it was either go with her or go with both of my moms and they would spend thirty minutes arguing over which green I might like.

I don’t like green. They know that.

“Why are there so many shades of blue?” She asks as I’m looking at one of the yellow swatches.

“Do you think Mirio would like yellow?”

“He abandoned his pregnant omega. Do you think He should get a say?”

“I’m not his omega and he didn’t abandon me,” I mutter as I look at one of the paler yellows.

“I’m just saying don’t worry about him. Wait what are you turning into the nursery?” I blush at he question.

“Um, my room,”

She stares at me. “Wait, you’re moving into Mirio’s room?” She asks.

I blush. “He isn’t using right now,”

“And when he comes back?”

I blush more. “Um, he can sleep on the floor?” I suggest and she rolls her eyes.

“Uh huh. We’ll see how long that lasts,”

Two months later I’m eight months and went into labour early. I’ll spare the details but now I’m laying here with my pup on my chest.

Her eyes are the same as Mirio’s but her hair and ears are mine. She’s mine.

She lets out a little chirp in her sleep and I start purring.

Eleven months go by before I see Mirio again. I’m in the kitchen with little Maya on my hip who for whatever reason has decided that the celling is fascinating.

I click on the coffee pot when there’s a knock at the door. It’s either mama or Hado.

No, probably Hado. Mama has a key and she isn’t afraid to use it. I walk over to the door and open it to see Mirio standing there. His hair is different. He looks different. “Mirio?” I ask. He smiles.

“Hi, I uh accidently left my key in the lock-“ I Inturupt him by pulling him into a side hug.

“Took you long enough,”

“Yeah, sorry about that,” he then notices Maya. “Are you baby sitting?” I glare at him.

“No, this is our daughter,” I inform him.

He stares at me for a moment. “Our?”

“You missed a lot,” I supply letting him go and letting him step inside.

I guess I’m going to spend this morning catching him up.
