    Yelena and Bob have never officially met in person, though their mutual friends, Bucky, Ava, Mel, and Walker, have known each other for years. The four of them have been friends since college, whereas Yelena joined the group as a work friend at Ava’s job, and Bob did the same through Walker’s line of work.

    Over the past two and a half years Bob and Yelena have known them, each joining the group on Friday nights at their local dive bar when the week broke their spirits. But each Friday that came and went seemed to miss them together entirely.
