C'mon, Don't Just Lie There

Summary:

Hook, Bridget, and Morgie figure some shit out

Work Text:

“Hook?” Morgie said. “Could you just do something?”
Hook buried his face in his pillow and groaned. “I just need to remember.” His voice was muffled.
Morgie knew what he was talking about, of course he did, but he didn't know what to do about it.
Thus he called for reinforcements.

Those reinforcements came in the form of Bridget of Hearts, still in her pajamas and carrying a tray of chocolate chip cookies that were, you guessed it; pink.
“I brought cookies,” Bridget said tentatively, holding up the tray.
Hook picked his head up. “What?”
“Cookies,” Bridget repeated.
“No.”
Morgie sighed. “Seriously? Hook, I swear to fucking God if you don't stop moping about-”
A pillow landed smack in his face.
Morgie winced. “Thanks.”
Bridget blinked. “He's…upset.”
“Could you leave?” Hook snapped. “I'm trying to think.”
“Nope,” Bridget said simply, settling herself on the edge of the bed. “We’re staying.” She gave Morgie a pointed look and he made his way over to sit beside her. “See?” She said smugly.
Hook muttered something that sounded a lot like “go fuck yourself” but sat up a little.
He looked so…deflated. There wasn't a trace of cockiness left, just something that was almost a pout. It made Morgie's heart ache.
Bridget nudged him. “C'mon we'll play a game or something.”
“I'm not leaving this room,” the pirate said flatly.
“Budge over then,” Bridget said, and before Hook could protest she was shimmying herself under the blanket.
Morgie rolled his eyes but joined her anyway, putting himself between them.
Maybe it was a little petty, but he was still stuck on the way Hook stared at her and Bridget’s kiss definitely hadn't helped matters.
He was hyper aware of the way Bridget’s arm brushed against his and the way Hook was staring at them both like they were crazy.

He doesn't know how long they laid there but when he woke up Hook’s arm was over his waist and Bridget had wrapped herself around his arm.
He was so fucked.

~~~
Hook felt slightly less murderous.
Maybe that had something to do with the fact that he was in bed with two very gorgeous people.
Bridget's hair was fanned around her head, falling in Morgie's face. He didn't seem to mind much though. They were both asleep, chests rising and falling in sync.
Hook didn't like it. It made his heart do weird things.
Sure he had flirted with Bridget, but that was mostly to get a reaction. He didn't think he'd actually care for her. And Morgie was his best friend, he couldn't go around thinking of his best friend like this. The princess shifted slightly, clinging to Morgie's arm like it was an anchor in the sea of dreams.
He really wanted to kiss her.
He really wanted to kiss them both.
Oh how easy it would be to lean over right now and just…kiss them.
He would kiss Morgie first, he decided, because he was closer. Then when he pulled away he'd kiss Bridget. Then he'd let them kiss each other so he could ask if it tasted like him.
Morgie shifted, his hand coming up to rub at his eyes as they blinked open. They were serpent’s eyes, Hook noticed, slit pupiled and yellowish.
They were beautiful.
So beautiful.
And staring directly at him.
Oh how easy it would be to just…
He leaned in.
He should have been thinking about how Bridget was still asleep but all he could manage to focus on was how Morgie's lips tasted kind of like oranges and wondering why that was.
~~~
Maybe Bridget should have been more upset by them kissing without her, but she really wasn't because they were both so pretty and Hook’s hand looked so perfect cupping Morgie's jaw like that and Morgie was extra beautiful when his cheeks were flushed.
Hook finally pulled back and Morgie blinked like he was seeing everything in a whole new light. “Wow.” He sounded almost giddy.
His eyes caught hers and she really, really should have thought about it more before she leaned over to kiss him. It took some maneuvering but before long she was straddling his waist and his hands were threaded in her hair and Hook was watching with a curious expression.

She was still there on top of him when the kiss ended and Hook pressed his lips to her neck.
Then her jaw
Then her cheek.
And finally his lips were on hers and they were warm and rough and it was a little clumsy because Morgie was still squirming under her but it was…wow.

Morgie kissed like he was giving something, he was gentle and pliant and mostly let her take the lead.
Hook kissed like he was taking someone, he was rougher and more insistent and if anyone had control it had to be him.
The contrast was dizzying and delicious and so perfectly them.

~~~
“Pretty thing,” Hook mused, staring down at him. Morgie felt like they were burning up from the inside out in the best way possible. He was here and he was kissing Hook and Bridget was there and her lips felt so soft against his neck and he never wanted it to end.
Except it did when Bridget finally asked, in a nervous sort of way, “what are we doing?”
“Kissing,” Morgie said breathlessly, because they were. That was the logical answer, anyway.
“Don't be sarcastic,” she scolded lightly, tugging at his hair. “I like you both.”
Hook sighed. “I guess I like you two idiots.”
Morgie elbowed him. “Rude.”
Bridget raised an eyebrow. “So?”
“So…we all keep kissing?” Morgie suggested weakly. “And maybe go on a date or something.”
She smiled. “I think I'd like that. Hook? What do you say?”
“A date sounds nice.”
And this Bridget leans over and kisses his cheek. It's chaste and sweet and it feels like a promise.
