Chapter Text

Wifies was back on Hummer’s server but with no Hummer. The only thing he had was a giant heart of the sea and Hummer’s tv head. He had a hard time functioning after Hummer disappeared, he had grown so used to having the other around that he struggled to function normally without him. He even tried drowning to see if Hummer would appear once again but all he got out of it was pain. He felt like giving up on searching for Hummer and was close to going back to his old life, empty and alone.

He had all his things packed up and ready to leave but something in him told him to go to the sea one more time. And he listened, that was when he saw him, the Leviathan. It- or he was huge, bigger then Hummer’s boat, Wifies was barely the size of his pupil. He had finally found what Hummer was searching for, but why. Why him, why not Hummer.

The Leviathan kept him alive at half a heart. To Wifies it felt like the giant was staring into his soul, judging all his past actions. “Why, why me, why not him.” He begged the king of the sea. “Please answer me. I just want to see Hummer again.” Wifies tears melted into the water.

The Leviathan seemed to have heard his quiet pleading. “Why do you want to see him again, mortal?” A booming voice echoed through the water currents. It sounded familiar to Wifies but he was too shocked in the moment to pay attention to the small details.

“I want to see him again. I’ve grown so close to him, so dependent on him and after- after dying on the hardcore server he hasn’t responded to me ever since. I just want to know where he is please. I need to know if you have anything to do with his disappearance?” Wifies pleaded the god before him.

“Is that how you really feel about him?” The Leviathan questioned his plea.

“Yes! Yes it is! Don’t undermine my opinion on my own friend.” Wifies yelled at the god.

“I can tell that there is a stronger emotion than friendship in your heart.” The Leviathan started slowly swimming around the tiny mortal.

Wifies thought, no Hummer was just his research. But was that truly what his heart felt? He never wanted to admit that he had felt a feeling that he thought he would never feel again. He felt in love again. He wanted to deny it but the feeling was there, and it was very much real. He loved Hummer, all his silly ocean facts, the way he fidgeted when nervous, the way he explained things in a way that a toddler could understand, he was as mesmerizing as the sea itself.

Wifies loved everything about Hummer but he would never admit it. Last time he confessed his true feelings to the one he had fallen for he was left rejected and abandoned. He could no longer deny the feelings that he had been feeling since he got to know Hummer.

“I want to see him to tell him- to tell him how I feel.” He confesed to the Leviathan. “I- I want to see him again, I need him. I need him to know that he wasn’t just a friend to me, something closer. I love him and I want him to know how I truly feel.”

The Leviathan's pupil widened from the small slit to something more human. The water around the sea beast started changing. It started glowing a bright blue, illuminating the Leviathan’s scaly body. The water wrapped around the giant in a blinding light that made Wifies look away.

When he opened his eyes once again the Leviathan was gone and Wifies was flooded with disappointment that his only lead was gone. He started swimming up towards the surface, until he felt a hand grab his leg. He looked down and saw that a fish hand had grabbed him. It was too dark for him to even see what was grabbing him but something in his gut told him not to fear.

The sea folk grabbed him and dragged him up to the sea floor, the deep eternal abyss being left behind as they resurfaced. The sky was dark and the moon was full, its light illuminated the night sky and reflected off the water making the night beautiful. The stars shone in the night sky creating the illusion of a dream

With the light Wifies finally took the time to take a look at the one who dragged him up to the surface. There, holding him up in the water, was a sea man with yellow-orange eyes, similar to the ones of the Leviathan. His scales were a dark cyan, reminding him of oxidized copper, and his hair was silky smooth, might be natural or might be from the water.

After the Leviathan left the water temperature started to drop, and cold water was starting to affect Wifies. He started shivering in the frosty water, and if it wasn’t for the seafolk he would have drowned in the cold waters. He felt his eyes getting heavy, he was cold and exhausted from being underwater almost all day. But after minutes of struggling to stay awake he fell limp in the other arms, sleep washing over his body as he passed out.

He awoke to the blinding light of the sunrise. He sat up, taking a minute to notice his surroundings, he was on a beach. The cold sand stuck to him, making his body itch, plus his head pounded from being in the water for so long. He looked behind him and realized he was on the shore line by Hummer’s house, thinking either the merfolk had just taken him to the nearest beach or he was washed ashore here coincidentally.

He got his sore but up to go and cleaned up inside, he washed the sand off of his body and out of his hair before he put on fresh clothes. When he went back downstairs he noticed his bags by the door, ready to leave with him, and he made the decision. He would not leave until he found out where Hummer went.

He went back to where he woke up and noticed a glass bottle that had washed ashore. He thought someone had to of put it there when he was inside, but he did remember that his mind was still foggy when he had first woken up and could have easily missed it. He picked it up and examined the bottle. Inside was a small piece of paper, so he pulled the cork off and shook the bottle until the paper fell out.

He unrolled the note and looked at it.

“Damit”

It was a cipher and it didn't look too complicated, he might even make a video out of this but he should probably go eat first.
