Work Text:
Rumi was sick.
Really sick.
She couldn't keep food down, all her muscles ached, and she shivered from fever.
Yet, Celine still had her training.
"Come on, Rumi" she said firmly as the girl struggled through basic movements. "You can do better than that"
"Okay, no" Mira finally spoke up. She couldn't stand to see the girl be berated any more, especially not when she was so visibly ill. "You need to lay off of her, Celine"
"Excuse me?"
"She's been puking all day" Mira said, gesturing to the shaking girl. "She can't hold food down, she has a fever, and she's clearly in no state to be training"
"Our faults and fears must never-"
"I don't care" Mira cut her off sharply. Zoey took this as her cue to help Rumi out of the training area. "She's still human. She needs rest, not you berating her"
With that, Mira turned and walked away, following the other two girls.
"You didn't have to do that" Rumi said weakly as Zoey helped her lie in bed with cool, damp cloths to try and break her fever. "I could do it"
"Stop being such a fuckin' hero all the time" Mira replied, rolling her eyes. "Your wellbeing matters, Rumi"
"Yeah" Zoey chimed in. "You're important to us"
"I love you guys" Rumi said tiredly. Mira chuckled and kissed her on the cheek while Zoey caressed her hand.
"We love you too"
