    I have spent years thinking tgcf was the best and years thinking, it sucked and finally, I have come to the conclusion that I could always write down what my complain is( I could have certainly just enjoyed what I could and left it at that, but I suppose, I loved hua cheng far too much in my teenage glee to not think of tgcf every once in a while.) Therefore, this work is not an improvement of tgcf but an experiment on how the plot would hold if I impose my head cannons on it.

    Alternatively, how much can changing a couple terminologies change the story we all know?
