Lando stumbles at a sudden memory. Dozens of parties in February, throbbing late into the dark night, snow piled thick on windowsills and the lawn. Then going back to his flat, the roses in his garden suffocated, and Oscar’s mouth on his, hair falling over his eyes, and breathy laughter.
